Perfect Solution
The perfect solution for hanging garland on my banister. They look much better than the ribbon I was using. The brown practically disappears next to them. They are sturdy but still bendable and wonât scratch the wood.

These are so easy to use, just the right size and very sturdy. I have a rather heavily ornamented garland on my staircase. Wires alone are scary as I don’t want to scratch the wood, even the coated wires sometimes cause scratching. These are perfect. No scratches, perfect length, holds the weight, and they blend well into my stained banister. Highly recommend.

Easy to use
Both good and bad. Bad: the ends unravel and fray easily and it is annoying, but doesn’t affect the use. Good: couple of twists and you are done! Put the tie on the railing, one twist to hold. Put all the ties up, then the garland. Place garland, two twists and you are done! So much easier and more secure than using the garland to self-tie, or using twisty-ties to secure. Doesn’t hurt railing. Speeds putting up and taking down. Overall I recommend, but remember to trim the unravelling with scissors.

The best kept secret for Christmas decorations
These ties stay exactly where you want them and remain completely secure all season. I can’t believe I waited so long to switch after struggling with various combos of ribbon and zip ties and tape for several Christmases. The 20″ length is perfect for wide railings. My only complaint is that the decorative ends can fray, especially if they get caught on prickly garland, but they are affordable enough to replace every few years.
