This review is for: ZENHOSIT Survival Shovel with Camping Axe: Multifunctional Tactical Gear for Outdoor AdventureWords cannot quite describe how cool I think this is… but onto the review.I need a camp shovel. There are many reasons whether I am alone or with my family/kids. I found this and decided to go for it. The shovel can be used as such or as a pick when rotated 90deg. The shovel also has a few cutouts for various sizes of nuts/bolts to use it as a wrench (though i doubt i will ever use it as such). The shovel blade is sharpened all the way around and has a serrated/saw tooth edge (about 4 inches) that I have already used to cut a limb off a tree (in my yard, don’t judge!). The axe head is pretty sharp and has a small hammer head on the reverse for pounding in stakes for your tent or whatever. The sectional handle is pretty nice. Good steal with textured portions for grip. hidden inside one portion is a fire striker and emergency window breaker. Inside the end of another portion is a socket for the included 1/4 hex screw driver insert (flat head/phillips). All made out of stainless steel the majority of which is anodized do a charcoal blue color. Plus a nice fixed blade knife and sheath. All fits inside it’s own carry case.I already have plans to include a few extra screw driver tips inside that portion of the handle, A small first-aid kit (if i can find a thin plastic tube to insert into one section of the handle), and stuff an emergency blanket into another section. It will be tight but I think it can be done.My only disappointment was the weight at over 6 pounds. However, considering the quality, I don’t think I care about that anymore! I will be putting this in my truck for emergencies. If I go camping it will be strapped on the outside of my pack.I think this is the perfect man-gift. For a number of reasons. Mostly it’s just freaking cool!Oh, just a warning, the axe head is really sharp, taking out of it’s protective sheath and putting it back in cut most of the stitches on the top of the sheath. The rivets are still good but I will need to sew it back together. It is a tight fit and obviously I did not take it out/put it back in the correct way to prevent that from happening. *shrug*

Good for camping/emergencies, but not for every day use.
The metal of the shovel, axe and knife seem solid and this kit does come with a lot of items/functions. I think it would make a decent gift, and would be handy to keep on hand for emergencies, or would make a good camping kit for an apartment dweller or someone who does not have a lot of space.But, the bag and cases for axe and knife feel cheap and I doubt they will hold up. I also had a hard time getting the shovel back into the case and it’s not really clear how things fit or where they go in the case. I also did not see any included instructions that would outline the different pieces, how they go together, and all the functions of the kit (missed opportunity, because it does seem like a lot).Overall, not bad, but I think for the quality of the complete set, this kit is probably overpriced. If I were camping often, I would probably spend the money to buy a few separate, quality items that would cover the same functions for the same cost (or maybe less, if I were picking them up at yard/garage sales). I think for the price, if they included a better, more durable case with obvious spaces for each component, and possibly each space labeled/diagrammed, it might just about be worth the cost.

Jack-of-All-Trades, Master of Some: ZENHOSIT Survival Tool Review
I’m an avid outdoorsman, and I wanted to ensure I had a set of helpful tools for camping or if I ended up stuck on a backroad. I’m always on the lookout for gear that’s both compact and versatile. The set of tools fits the bill.This set is like a Swiss Army knife on steroids. Shovel, axe, hoe, saw, bottle opener, knife, compass, fire starter â you name it, it probably does it. I especially liked the adjustable shovel head and the extendable handle, making it suitable for all kinds of tasks. It also folds up neatly and comes with a sturdy carrying pouch, making it easy to stash in my trunk. This set is good at a lot but not great at anything. I’d still reach for a dedicated axe or shovel for serious work like woodcutting or digging.The ZENHOSIT Survival set seems well-made, with feature-packed tools that are perfect for casual camping or car emergencies. It’s not the lightest option, but its portability and sheer number of features make it a valuable addition to my adventure kit.

Premium, rugged, portable axe and shovel!
When I opened the shipping box, I was disappointed at how small this kit was. However, all that changed when I opened the pouch and discovered a veritable gold mine of rugged awesomeness! The pouch is deceptively small, only about 8″ square by 4″ deep. Inside were various pieces that all felt wonderful in my hand, very sturdy, with appropriate weight and great attention to detail. There are even o-rings to keep out dirt when you assemble the pieces together. I included a photo of the axe assembled to its maximum length. It’s pretty close to a full-size axe. The balance is fantastic. The only issue I had with it, is it needs to be sharpened out of the box. It has been factory-sharpened, but not well enough. It wouldn’t split wood or chop a log. The problem wasn’t that it’s pretty lightweight (which it is, but appropriately so), it just needed a good sharpening to give it a really nice edge. The hammer on the side opposite the axe-head is great for driving in tent stakes or striking a wedge to split wood. You can use the hammer without removing the sheath that covers the axe-head, which is great for safety.I haven’t been able to use this enough to comment on long-term durability, but it’s compact enough to bring camping this winter, so I’ll put it through its paces. By all appearances, this is wonderfully designed and should perform well for a long time to come!
