Great Rack, Good Value, Has Some Quirks
I think this is a great rack for the money. We haul 2 e-bikes across town and have no issues. It’s solid with little vibration, and I feel it securely holds the bikes. Here are my 3 things they can improve:1. Assembly – On the up rods, there are shanks (plastic) that fit into the up rod poles. The purpose to ensure a tighter fit. These took me about 5 mins per pole to assemble and is frustrating. I assembled this by myself, so I was forced to hold two shanks into position while getting a bolt through the mounting bracket and the metal holes of the up rods. That makes six surfaces that must be aligned to get a bolt through. It’s not the end of the world, but just thought they could secure these at the factory for added assistance.2. The Bolt that Attaches the Ract to Hitch is a Screw – There are several comments on this, I would prefer a through bolt vs screw just for ease of “on-off”3. Holding Latches – These work great but they are plastic. I’m worried over time these will wear out and break. So far no issues, but a concern as more uses accumulate. In all, I’d recommend this rack, I don’t think you can beat it for the price. It’s sturdy, it’s easy to get the bikes on and off. The hitch on the rack allows it to fold up for parking, and fold away from the SUV to get into the vehicle. I have a 4Runner and it fits great and does not stick out at all on the sides, as some have mentioned.

TIE DOWN STRAPS & OTHER TIPS
I ordered it on a Sunday and it arrived the next morning. Right on, Jeff! The packaging was inadequate, but the scratches were limited to the bottom of one aluminum bike cradle. All of the parts were made correctly and lined-up, unlike what other reviewers had to deal with so this one was probably not made of a Friday. The rack is heavy duty and at 200lbs I can bounce up and down on it without flexing it. The pictorial instructions help and assembly was straightforward, but I’ve done a lot of mechanical work and have good tools. Using a “monkey wrench” as they suggest can get the job done but I recommend sockets and ratches or at least combination wrenches to help prevent scratching the paint, your knuckles and save time. It is not powder coated so be careful.I started assembly by mounting it in the receiver to make it assembly easier and given its weight I didn’t want to lift it and try to align the holes in the receiver. Some folks don’t like that the receiver pin is actually a threaded bolt, but the heavy bolt holds it tightly against the receiver eliminating receiver wobble. You can’t use a lockable pin so I’m using a cable to secure it to the truck. A pair of bolt cutters and a wrench is all that’s needed to steal it but in Chicagoland thieves get bigger bucks for catalytic converters and trucks have big ones.If you’ve got a narrower vehicle like a Subaru Outback the bikes are going to stick out well beyond the sides of the car. They even stick out beyond my full-sized pickup, but this may be an issue with any rack.I had read reviews with complaints that the tie down straps don’t tighten and thought that’s probably a misunderstanding on the part of the owner. When I mounted the first bike I was disappointed and thought they were right. But if you look at the picture of the center post tie down you can see that the strap is inserted in a way that looks backwards–opposite of the orientation that the center post strap clamps came from the factory. When I flipped the clamps 180 the straps held tight. So the factory folks don’t get it right. It’s better suited for fat tire bikes when it comes to securing the wheels. It works well enough on my Aventon Level.2’s with 2.5″ tires but I’m using the orange straps to help compensate for the inadequate rear tie-downs and to add an extra layer of safety on the front wheels. I had to bend the ramp clips to keep it from sliding off. The bikes are heavy and sit high so I carefully used the throttle to drive them up the ramp. I’m 6’2″ but it’s still challenging. Shorter folks may want to get assistance.Overall, I’m satisfied with it for the price. I didn’t want to spend more than twice as much to get a high-end Thule or Yakima. It got better reviews then them anyway.

    Great rack, great Price
Easy assembly, good and secure carry, I also purchased a hitch stabilizer, carried my ebike with battery installed and spare battery in the rear rack bag, stayed put and no wobbling. Before purchase, I read all the reviews, do yourself a favor, get some red loctite and apply it to all the nuts/bolts that are not used for adjustments, I had a few of the small tire strap hardware work themselves loose. Overall, very happy with this unit.

    Nice rack
I shopped a long time before making this purchase. I am very happy with this purchase so far. It was easy to put together and appear to be sturdy. I’ve only used it once so far, but less bounce than my other carrier. The tire straps work well, but appear to be a little fragile. I had to put additional tail lights on the rack due to the blocking of my existing rear lights, be safe and make sure the car behind can see your brake and turn signals.

Really easy to use bike rack and good for the price
It’s a really good bike rack for the money. After reading some of the 1 or 2-star reviews, I see how some people have trouble with assembly. For starters, the instructions are off by 1mm in the size of the wrenches needed. But that’s a pretty basic fix — use the right size. For other parts, people had issues with the threads or lining up the holes. Use some anti-seize lube or some 3-in-1 oil and you will get around that issue. Otherwise, all parts were machined properly and installation was a breeze. If your trailer hitch is close to the bumper, make sure you have a 24mm socket wrench. As far as the use of the rack, it’s quick to add the bikes and strap them in. The locking straps are one-directional, so make sure you have yours facing the right way or they slip. When driving, the rack does an excellent job staying in place with little wobble.

Very sturdy but hard to put together
The rack is not engineered very well as I had to literally pound some of the pieces into place. The upright mounting bars are hard to maneuver because they are too tightly fitted into the rack. It is however very sturdy and will carry two large ebikes without any problems. For the money it’s great.

If your bikes weigh between 140 and 200 pounds together without the batteries and that you will use the support at least on an SUV, go ahead and buy this rack, it should do the job. If your bikes weigh less than 140 pounds together, and you drive a car or a small SUV, try to find something lighter. The two posts (to hold the bikes upright) are effectively extending about 6 inches farther than the rack when folded and therefore will protrude on both side of most vehicules which is a bit annoying. However they can be cut to lenght. All in all a good rack at a very reasonable price if this is what you need. Marc

The upright bar is able to pivot to any position. This facilitates securing any type of bike and the bar folds down to make it easy to put the bike onto the rack without having to work around it. I have this mounted on the back of my RV, and the ability to fold up is a big plus.

Fits well onto the back of my Class C motorhome, despite my spare wheel attached there.Carry two e-bikes, roughly 65 lbs each. Only used once so far, but had no trouble with the one trip. It is handy to have a ramp to load the bicycles.I stuck some reflective stickers on the back for better visibility at night.I cannot fold this up when driving because of my spare wheel, but, as mentioned, when down with e-bikes attached, it’s fine.
