Do their job well
Got these to keep moisture out of bulk herbs and powders. So far since using these, I have not had any moisture issues in my containers. I love the large size of these, as they are able to be thrown in and I do not have to worry about accidentally grabbing them when using what they are in (like with the small commercial silica packets).

these are just bigger versions of those silica packets you can find in shoe boxes and purses when you buy them, so not sure why they cost so much. They do an okay job in the feeder with dry cat food, but I didn’t notice anything extraordinary.

These are commodity grade desiccants. They seem to work fine. You can tell when they need to be changed or dried out by the weight. When the absorb water they can increase weight up to 40%.You don’t need special desiccant for pet food, you can use any food grade desiccant, so only get these if they are the size you want and a good value.

Prevents clumping
Larger size desiccant bags. I keep them with all my bulk buy foods to keep things bone dry. They’re color changing as well. I always re-dry them in the oven at a low temp for about ten minutes and let cool before deploying. Sometimes my dog food clumps up near the bottom, but tossing these into a new pack and shaking around means everything stays dry and ‘crunchy’ until the very end. Bags are reusable too, I just either let them sit out during a warm day or toss into the oven again.
