Works great on PCs just like it’s predecessors!
The âcoreâ controller is the latest iteration of the xbox controller and from a quick glance it can be difficult to spot a difference from the xbox one controller but there are some subtle ones.The core controller now sports a textile grip texture at the rear of the controller and at the top of the LT and RT triggers. I have never had an issue with slippage on my previous xbox one controller but the texture is a welcome addition and it is very subtle which didnât cause any discomfort in my hands. The Dpad now sports a similar look to the old 360 design but despite this it thankfully works like a regular Dpad and seems to be much more âclickyâ now. Itâs responsive and will work fine on platformers and similar style games though it would not be my first preference for fighting games. The only other addition I could spot is the share button which I understand is to capture games clips and screens. The analog sticks feel the same to me and the controller still requires double AA batteries although a battery pack can be purchased separately.Annoyingly, unlike my previous xbox controllers I was not able to get this working via Bluetooth on Ubuntu but connection through USB works with no issues so I just use it like that. I have tested it on a Windows 11 machine and the Bluetooth connection works as expected. Just make sure to select the section under Bluetooth devices that specifically mentions xbox controllers.The version I purchased was the electric volt that sports a two tone colour variant with a Kermit style green at the front and plain white at the back. Initially I thought that white would have quickly become dirty but after a few months of usage this was thankfully not the case. The grip texture strangely does not collect grime buildup which is much appreciated although I wonder what sorcery did they conjure to make this possible?Even if you are primarily a mouse and keyboard player itâs always handy to have a controller in the event you stumble across a game that demands it and I donât think you can go wrong with this controller which can be had for <50 dollars on sale. I think itâs a perfect pickup if you need a new controller or replacement BUT If you already have a working xbox one controller I donât think itâs worth spending money for this as an âupgradeâ unless of course you really need that share button functionality. Personally, I think the PS5 controller wins the competition this round with newer tech like haptic and audio feedback for games that support it and that support does seem to be growing but that controller is substantially more expensive. You canât go wrong with either but the core controller is in a much more affordable position particularly at sales prices.

Legit, Clean and Perfect!
The Electric Volt lime green really pops when you look at it! Haven’t seen one this color before and to look at it on screen compared to in person? The images do not do it justice! The color is really vibrant!It came in the brand new Xbox packaging, Microsoft branding, setup manual and warranty/instructions manual and 2 Duracell alkaline batteries. Everything in the box is original and not copied from original. So, I say this controller is LEGIT!It has the USB-C charger port/data plug in the front. Nicely done! The underside of this controller has a textured grip to it which gives this controller much more comfortable feel compared to the older, smooth controllers. The sticks are snappy and precise and the buttons have a much stiffer feel to them as apposed to the older controllers as well.5 Stars and highly recommended!

Great price for a genuine Xbox controller. Very cool design and everything works perfectly. Only concern is that Amazon shipped it in a very lightly padded envelope instead of a protective box. The retail box offers no protection and could have very easily gotten damaged.

Excellent controller
Works great. Bought it to use with the new Amazon fire xbox streaming app and it works beautifully. Connected right up without any hassle and controls xbox, amazon fire, and amazon luna. My only issue is that the xbox home button could be a little more responsive, but it works and is not a frequently used button so it’s a very minor issue.

Much Nicer than the Older Xbox One Controllers
I decided to finally replace my old Xbox One controller that I’ve had since 2017. I’ve replaced so many parts in that controller over the years, when the triggers started sticking (due to the foam bumper pad behind the triggers having worn out) I decided to just buy a new, updated controller.Out of the box, it just felt better to hold, and way more robust than my Xbox One controller. The triggers are solid, and have a small stippled grip texture to them that you can find on the handles. The thumbsticks have more grip to them, although the thumb sticks on my old controller are worn down (despite having been replaced once in the past) I definitely don’t remember the texture being so pronounced. While we’re on thumbsticks, the stick sensors themselves feel exactly the same… Probably because they are the same sensors, or maybe a newer revision of the same sensor. The D-pad is a big improvement, it’s very clicky, unlike the mushy Xbox One D-pad. It also features a full circle D-pad (reminiscent of older Xbox controllers) instead of a plus (+) D-pad, making diagonal D-pad use more accessible and ergonomic. The bumpers feel a bit more clicky and definitely has less play and mush. The center buttons are about the same, with the inclusion of the Share button. The primary face buttons (A,B,X,Y) are exactly the same… Maybe not as noisy, although that applies to most of the controller, except the D-pad. The sync button is similar, just feels a little more solid. The I/O is the same, with the exception of the charging/data port, it is now USB-C. Such a massive upgrade over micro USB. Micro USB has always been finicky and unreliable. This was a big motivator for me getting a new controller instead of just “fixing” the triggers in my old one (which I may still do, it’ll probably just be a backup controller) The rumble effects are noticeably improved, it feels a bit more stable and a lot less noisy.Overall, the Xbox Series X/S controllers are way nicer than the older Xbox One controllers and it makes me regret waiting so long to get one.I should add, the controller also came with batteries, but not a cable. (Though, outside of PC gamers, who buys a wireless controller to play plugged in?)

Good for the price
I had to buy another controller for my son and needed it fast..it came overnight. Feels smooth to the touch and on the game plays great, came with a pair of batteries for it as well. No complaints at all, overall, good product and good quality.

No encontré ningún punto malo para este control.El tacto es perfecto al ser transparente te imaginas que sea liso y no, la textura frontal del control tiene un acabo mate muy cómodo al tacto.La parte trasera tiene textura en la parte transparente y adicional una parte de goma que hace básicamente imposible que pierdas el agarre es súper cómodo de sostener.Los acabados en dorado de la cruceta y los gatillos es lo que más me gustó, que ocupen detalles dorados en un control asà le da un carácter único.En general creo que es mi control favor hasta ahora.Ojalá Microsoft se anime a hacer una edición asà de algún color neón para los que que amamos el Rgb.
