Great scratcher, not so great adhesive pads included.
The scratcher itself is great. It’s sturdier than regular cardboard; it’s a bit thicker in a way that’s hard to show in photos. It will last much longer than a cardboard scratcher would and costs less. My cat loves to stretch on this scratcher, so it does that job well.The included adhesive strips, however, are not the best. They’ll hold for a few weeks, but then the scratcher drops off. I can press it back on, but it will never stay there for more than a day or two. Not enough surface on the board to hold onto. I’m going to try hot glue and command strips. I’ll report back if that works.Update: Hot glue (i use a cooler temp hot glue) and command strips or similar works just fine. Be sure to use strips that will support your cat’s weight, of course. Rental friendly that way!

Very good but Velcro is not
Okay for starters, the price compared to anything Iâve seen in store or on chewy cannot be beat. Itâs sturdy and it comes with a packet of rub in catnip so itâs not flaky and messy. She instantly was drawn to it. We got this because like most cats she just loves to scratch everything she shouldnât. We had a poster on the wall where we put it and she constantly would try and scratch it and bring it down. She lays on the cardboard scratching house in the photo all the time and for whatever reason just that isnât enough to scratch lol. My only complaint is the adhesive Velcro fell instantly when she started scratching it so we had to nail it at the top. Other than that itâs amazing, holds up to cats that over actively scratch. Plus itâs cheap.

Scratchpad attracted my cat–a good thing. Also, this scratch pad is reversible–a good thing. It is durable, and my cat will get many uses out of this one pad. The price was very reasonable. But there is one small drawback; the adhesion could be better. One out of five times my cat uses it, it falls on the floor. However, I definitely would buy this again because the scratch pad itself is durable and reversible. My cat LOVES it. My cat will get many, many uses out of it before I have to replace it. I can figure out how to improve adhesion issues on my own. Thank you.

Wont stick to OUR wall
One of the cats at least likes it. The only issue is it won’t stay on the wall. The tape provided would likely work on a smooth finish fine. It keeps falling off because it won’t stay connected to the corrugated weave of the scratch board.

Yes yes yes! This is working out really well! I have adopted two young adult kitties. While we have had them for a few months now, we are all still getting to know each other. I have observed that my one girl likes stretching up walls, especially near doorways. She is weird, but I suspect some of it is to mark her space and to feel more comfortable. I have also noted that she takes to the more vertical cat scratchers in the house. So as I was looking at other scratchers, I saw this. For $8, I figured it was worth the try. SO GLAD I saw this and bought this.It attaches to wall using included velcro strips. It definitely secures well to the wall because my girl took to this scratcher instantly. I placed it up high on the wall, but I think I could go a few more inches. She seems to love fully stretching out and just going to town digging into the scratcher. It is holding up really well too!And, it comes with a little packet of silver vine powder. It’s a fine powder, kinda looks like cinnamon. I have used catnip & silver vine combos before, but never just silver vine and never a fine powder. This is potent cat crack stuff. Can I buy more??? The two girls were flipping around in the hallway just from smelling it in the air around the scratcher. The one girl hadnt even used the scratcher yet.So yeh, all around pleasing experience with this product, and I am already adding another to my shopping cart for use elsewhere in house. We have stuck it back on the sticky a couple times, but my super powerful cat tore it off the wall. He still uses it on the floor though. No regrets 🙂
