Great Pack good for ultralight hiking, daypack, and travel
I bought this pack because I want to get further into ultralight hiking as well as travel but not spend a fortune. I bounced back and forth between the 40 and the 50 liter. I ended up going with the 40 because of all the research I did. I figured (in the ultralight mindset) it was better to not have too big of a pack. Im a 5’5 male and this pack is a perfect size for traveling ( I wouldnt go any bigger, and I could stand to loose 5 or so liters, just for traveling) But it is great quality, light weight, straps are nice, buckles are good, zippers are good, whistle sucks 🙂 but still cool. One thing to note if you are getting it for ultralight hiking. the 40 liter is going to be tight (I was able to stuff 3 crumpled up large bath towels in the main compartment), I was worried about getting the 50 because of how high it would go over my head. This one is right at neck level and doesnt go down too far over your back. You could only do 2-3 day hike. if your sleep system is a hammock it is PERFECT, if it is a bivy tent and sleeping pad its going to be tight i might go with the 50 (unless you strap it on the outside). The only problem is the main compartment seems small because the suspension system and part that keeps bag directly off back and allows airflow seems to constrict it a bit. I have looked at all the osprey,REO, and gregory bags. This bag is just as nice as them. not sure how the waterproffenss is going to be. Overall I would go with the 40 over the 50 and make it work. Remember if you buy a larger pack you are much more likely to fill it. if you have to cut out some things thats what makes it interesting and challanging. One last thing I read on one of these reviews that the hydration tube port was not there or was sewn shut. Mine was perfect and there is a clip for the mouthpiece on the shoulder strap. Lots of teather points and there are places to cinch the pack as tight as you want. I really like the waste strap with the small pockets that will be good for quick reach items like phone, gps, passport, wallet, snack. Last thing, they put the small pocket for the rain cover in the base of the bag. I really like that because you can reach back while pack is on and get it out then sling off the pack and have your cover ready to put on quickly. overall well thought out pack and good quality for the money.

Perfect for travel
I purchased this for a trip to Alaska. It was lightweight and perfect for travel. Lots of pockets to keep organized, comfortable and adjustable straps, and water resistant for the light rain we experienced. We didn’t have heavy rains to test just how much water it would resist. I highly recommend!

RUGGED beyond belief
This has become my go-to day pack. It easily holds everything I take with me when I go out for a day hike: rain jacket, insulated vest, whistle, compass, first aid kit, GPS/sat phone, bear spray, liter of water, and trail mix. These items basically live in my pack, and I add various other items as necessary depending on weather and location. I have used it as a day pack now for over a year, including use in hot desert sands, mountain snow, humid jungles, and occasionally on nice days. I never had a problem, other than it does cause my back to sweat, which is inevitable as the pack fits flat against your back. When my girlfriend and I decided to hike Wainwrightâs Coast-to-Coast (C2C) trail in England, we had to carry everything we needed for a 2- to 3-week trek across the mountains (yes, England does have mountains in the Lake District), plains, and endless heather. She was able to use a frame pack, and I decided to use this pack.Foodwise, we only needed to carry a pack lunch and trail mix with us. Every night we stayed at an inn or similar facility, which allowed us to skip carrying a stove, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, etc. The weight in my pack wound up being perhaps only triple what I usually carry. The thing about England is that it rainsâa lot. And this pack is NOT waterproof. Since it is not a frame pack, there is no decent raincoat for it. I tried a âuniversalâ pack raincoat, which helped a bit, but not completely. So, everything inside got wet. Well, almost everything. There are two small waterproof pouches in the pack where you can store phones, passports, wallets, first aid supplies, etc. They did keep their contents completely dry. Next time I will put a garbage bag inside the pack to keep my spare clothes and other gear dry.The pack held up beyond expectations, despite the inclement weather. I was worried that the almost constant rain and extra weight would damage the seams or create holes and the pack would start to break apart. It didnât. The pack held up perhaps better than I did during our journey.Soâ¦the bottom line: this pack is RUGGED. The straps are a bit uncomfortable at the end of a long hiking day, but not intolerable. Otherwise, the pack is inexpensive, light weight, fits into an overhead storage bin on all aircraft, and is well suited to long as well as short walks.

folds up small
Great to use when traveling. Can fold it up to pack in your suitcase, pull it out when you need it. Very light weight and easy to carry. Great size.

Great value, awesome backpack
was looking for something to replace a medium sized backpack that I had that was falling apart due to wear n tear. After looking at many others went this this one and very pleased with my decision. Although small, which isn’t a bad thing, due like the small plastic compartment for wet sock’s or small towel or to put shower necessities in. Great for day trips and weekend getaways.

Light weight and may pockets
I live this backpack for traveling. There are so many pockets to keep items organized. I love the pass through for a usb cable so I can keep my battery pack in the backpack and charge and use my phone. I was able to wear it for 10-12 hours a day with out any fatigue while walking around Disney Parks. High quality and light weight.

Tiptop 🙂

I’ve purchased this well made backpack to use when I do my food shopping and for when I travel e.g. to carry my stuff for the day on the beach. Other than not having a waist strap, it’s an excellent pack.
