Great set for an at-risk kid
I got these for my grandson who is high functioning autistic and Type 1 diabetic. The goal was to gain more independence. These work great for that. The voice option is perfect for him if he gets into blood sugar trouble – he can just call for help. The range is clear and long. He can now ride his bike in the neighborhood or to the community playground, and his parents can be confident to be in touch with him. I bought two more because his younger sister wanted to be able to use one, too, even though she’s allowed a shorter free range. Definitely recommend. I did get a separate case for all to be stored when not in use.

4 8yo kids-none read instructions…2 hours later, the adult figured it out. Not quick and easy for kids/beginners. Works about 4 houses down before it gets static…10 houses we lose range.

The red one cuts off even If you’re still pressing the button fully one of the radios batteries don’t recharge. Other radios can listen in on your radios but you can’t talk back to those radios.. it’s great for kids but not for what I wanted
