Very Nice
I have unfortunately gone through 3 video baby monitors and I will say without a doubt this is my favorite video monitor. It got a big display and so many option in the settings like room temp, music, and my favorite is the motion detection and sensitivity setting and the camera is amazing at detecting any movement in the room. My husband and I love this product and would be very happy to recommend it to our friends and family.

Still working great after 8 years!
This has been the best monitor! I’ve owned it for over 8 years and it’s “watched” 4 children. It has been dropped more times than I’d care to admit and has been packed up and moved (also dropped) a ton. The antenna has been re-glued 3x on the monitor, and the camera’s antenna is currently hanging by a thread.My point of saying this is that the vtec monitor system has been very heavily used and abused and continues to work amazingly well. The range of this is also shocking. We have 5 acres and it works all the way in the back of the property. I have been handed down other cameras, but nothing works like this so I’ve continued to pass them on.I have two cameras set up and I love the option to switch back and forth between sleeping children. I also appreciate the temperature control alarm when we’re camping. The camera is clear, the speaker is clear (over time it’s become difficult to hear on the camera end what we are saying, but it worked great for about 6 years). I came on Amazon to see if I could just buy another monitor, but looks like I’ll have to buy the set. I am pleased they still make this camera and that the price is very reasonable. I will be purchasing this same set. If you want a monitor with amazing range and longevity, this is the one for you!

Nice camera for daily use
This camera setup is good quality. Battery life is good will last hours without charging the screen. Picture clarity could be better tho. Its not horrible but sometimes I canât see whether my babies eyes open or closed even while zoomed in. Other then that its reliable and gets the job done.

There are a lot of REALLY expensive and high tech options out there for monitors. It was a bit overwhelming for me and my husband when we were expecting. I took forever doing side-by-side comparisons of features and prices, cross referencing with reviews and buyers’ guides… and then said, “Screw it! This one has the features I really want, has positive reviews, and is the best price.”Two years later, I have no regrets about this purchase. Other new parents looked down their nose at how cheap it was and didn’t have ____ fancy feature, but ours actually worked better than their more expensive versions! It is not connected to wi-fi or a cell phone, which was big for me because of recent reports of cameras being hacked by outsiders. It took us a while to realize that it has an antenna on the monitor to increase reception. This meant we could have drinks on the neighbor’s patio or work in the yard while the baby slept and keep an good eye on him. (Doors were locked and guard dog on duty, of course.)It has a good picture in both light and dark. It comes with mounting equipment that seemed impressive, but we didn’t end up using it. I just didn’t feel the need for such a close-up picture all the time. We set it on top of his dresser nearby and pointed the camera (the lens can be adjusted) at him. The monitor has a zoom feature that can provide a close-up as it sits there on the dresser.This monitor picks up sound VERY well. We actually had to get used to the fact that it picks up every new sound that you would hear standing in the room. So it’s quiet when baby is sleeping, despite his lullaby music being on. But when the front door is closed or a train goes by a mile away, you hear it on the monitor even though it’s not even enough to wake the baby. As he has gotten older, this has been a blessing as we can hear him stirring before he gets bored and causes trouble. The volume on the monitor is adjustable. There is also a button on the handheld monitor that allows you to talk to the baby from wherever you are (“Mommy’s coming!” walkie-talkie style).We have never had a problem with only having one handheld monitor. My husband and I have simply always made sure to have clear communication on who is “in charge” of it. We hand it off to each other as needed. It became an extension of our approach on balancing parental supervision and housework.

Great Monitor For the Price, No Complaints Here
I read through a lot of the reviews on Amazon before deciding on this one. Its not as cheap looking as some of the others and works great. Instantly links when turned on, easy to move around anywhere and focus the camera. Definitely has a bigger and nicer viewing screen than compared to others I’ve seen at friends. Best feature is that it turns off the sound when the baby is not making any sound so you don’t get that annoying background buzz. Despite what some negative reviews say I don’t find this annoying at all, but rather easier to sleep. Its all based on personal preference. Its also got a nice tune that plays for the baby for a long while rather than having to crank a mobile repeatedly.One Year Update:I have had this monitor now for over a year and can’t say enough regarding how well it works. Now with a 1+ year old it stands up to grabbing and dropping on the floor! Hands down I want to repeat what a great product this is for a competitive price. The only improvement I would have loved to see would have been to start the music again from the parent unit…but hey can’t have it all.Two Year Update:Still going strong. Just purchased a 2nd camera to pair with the monitor for our 2nd child. Extremely easy to pair and allows for several different views to see each child individually or both on the same screen. Highly recommend.
