My last seat broke after 3 years. I am not sure how long a seat should last, but I would hope longer than 3 years. I guess my comparison is my old bike that lasted 44 years….same seat. I purchased this one based on reviews and the padding description. I use it on my indoor bike where I do most of my riding these day due to lack of bike trails near me and I don’t do roads any more with all the traffic and maniacal drivers.The seat seems well constructed. The cover seems to be non-slip, which is important since bike pants are usually nylon/rayon and slippery on most seats. The padding is very firm, not hard, but firmer than I expected. I typically ride 20-25 miles per session. At the end, I would have preferred a softer padding, but it wasn’t too bad.Overall, it seems to be a good saddle.

Pleasantly Surprised
Up until this time I have been using gel seat covers. They worked well for me for years and I still would not write them off all together. But lately every gel cover splits on one side, and eventually becomes uncomfortable. The last gel cover I bought on Amazon, split after my first 1 hour ride. I was given a refund. That was the 3rd one of a brand that is highly rated on here. They are comfortable at first but eventually the gel splits, and even oozes out sometimes. Anyway, this memory foam seat surprised me, I think its wonderful so far. I have been using it for about 2 to 3 months. I was a bit nervous ditching the gel seat covers, but read some reviews on this seat, and other info on gel vs foam seats/seat covers. I figured at this point I got to try something different. The seat did feel different at first but after a while it felt rather good. I stopped thinking of my sore butt and I did not have to keep shifting around so much. The shape of the seat seems to work for me, it was pretty easy to install. I still might adjust the forward and back position and height, which all has to do with my knees, back and hip issues. I do have to say that my physical issues during cycling and afterward are much better using this seat. I have my bike on a trainer right now. I ride for about an hour or so 1 to 2 times a week. So far so good. I think this seat will work well for me once I get out on the road again when the weather gets a bit nicer. When the seat arrived I did have an issue with the packaging. The box was rather beat up and it was obviously opened before. I contacted the seller and they understood my dissatisfaction with the packaging. They gave me a partial refund. There was nothing wrong with the seat, it was in good condition. Also I am listed here as a Vine reviewer, I did get the Vine invite, but have not gone ahead with that yet. So this review is from my own purchase of the product.

I got this to replace a seat that I found too hard and was so disappointed with the memory foam on this. It’s incredibly hard. My rear end is suffering mightily.

Comfortable seat
I replaced my 40 year old leather seat with this one and such a game changer. Very comfortable. So comfortable, that I changed my 2 year old e-bike with this seat. I rode a quick 10 miles this morning on the e-bike and no soreness. Easy to install. I used my 2-year old seat seat bracket instead of the one that came with it. It was easy to figure out and switch brackets. Great seat! Good price.

Why some people do not like this seat? It is a very high quality product, very comfortable. Other seats are quite too soft, but this one although isn’t hard, but just good, and it feels like you can ride for hours without feeling a discomfort.********After writing this review, I purchased another one (both City) for my son. Excellent product!
