Great design, attention to details, quality materials
This hydration pack is well made with many attentions to detail, such as a survival whistle molded into the sternum strap clip. There are two zippered compartments on the back that are large enough to hold common practical items (phone, wallet, keys, small first aid kit, snacks, toilet paper, pistol, GPS, etc.) but not so large that this becomes a bulky backpack. The 2.5 liters of water weighs 2.5 kg or 5.5 pounds, and it’s positioned close to the back so it carries comfortably and minimally impacts balance during active sports. The water bladder has an internal baffle to minimize rapid weight shift when in motion. The huge opening on the bladder allows easy filling with ice cubes before topping off with cold water. The hose outlet on the bottom of the bladder doesn’t leak when the hose is unplugged. The large opening at the top of the bladder is a bit tricky to align (getting easier with repetition) and requires some hand strength to seal, but was absolutely water tight. The insulation is a great feature. The reflective lining of the bladder pouch is very tough. Even though there is only approximately 1/8″ of flexible closed cell foam insulation behind the reflective cover, ice water stays cool for four hours in normal use. The construction materials and techniques are on par with name brands. I love that there isn’t some big goofy manufacturer’s logo. This is my first hydration sack. I’m not sure if I’m going to like carrying water on my back and sucking on a watering tube like a gerbil, but if I don’t like this hydration sack, I doubt I’ll like any of them.

Very nice, especially for the price
I was looking for a smaller hydration pack to do some short hikes. I wanted enough room for wallet, iPhone, a snack, a knife, etc. Something that would also survive without so much care and I don’t want to spend lots of money. For $36 I was surprised at the quality. The nylon material is not super thick but thick enough that I don’t think will wear out soon. The bladder is great. No leak. There’s insulation in the bladder compartment. And there’s lots of room. It’s more like a day pack than a hydration pack. Definitely plenty of room for a full day hike. The straps are very comfortable and sturdy even when loaded up. I bring water and food for me and my 2 dogs when on a hike and this is a perfect size…and speaking of size…this is a bigger pack than it looks on the pictures. I’m 6’1′ and I feel I’m the perfect height for this bag. I think this bag is for those 6′ or taller. You may find this bag a bit of a large fit in the way it hangs off your bag if you’re much shorter.

Solid equipment, good for price
Really useful for the field work i had to do. The mouthpiece is subpar and leaks. I added waterproof plumbing tape to minimize. Ill probably swap it after a while.

I am so glad I bought this
I bought this because I got back into riding my bike so I can get in better shape. I always had a hard time staying properly hydrated on hikes, walks or bike rides because I hate carrying a water bottle around and water bottles never felt like enough water on longer rides or hikes. I decided to try this backpack because their other one, which is the same just not insulated, got great reviews but I wanted an insulated backpack to keep the water cool. Everything came packaged well, it had instructions on how to take care of the water bladder. I did have to look at the pics on the amazon page to see how they strapped the bladder inside the backpack but that was no big deal. This is the first time I have ever had a Hydration Pack so I had no clue what was going on at first. The material feels better quality then the backpacks I had for school back in the day and it fits really comfortable and well. Even with a full water bladder, my phone and ID stuff I couldn’t even tell it was on my back. I am glad I had it today, we went on about a 15 mile bike ride and the water was cool and I had plenty to last the whole day with no leaks. There was a slight taste of plastic/rubber but nothing that bothered me. I followed the lemon juice instructions the night before. So far I love this backpack and will be using it a lot. We will see how long it lasts but I am glad I bought it. It has helped me stayed hydrated all day.

Convenient hydration with added stowage
Fits great and functions as described without leaking everywhere. Have used this a several hikes without any issues. The pack weight is light and keeps the water cool. The pockets are nice to keep cleaning tablets in and other things you may need on a short trail like snacks and even an extra pair of socks.

As described. Good for long hike with good pockets
good size for a long hike/walk, would be too much if going for a jaunt around the neighborhood. good pockets for extras and I like with wide shoulder straps for the shoulders.

Awesome!
This pack is great! I got it for the 4th of July parade and my daughter has adopted it. She likes how it keeps her water cool and can put a small cooler pack in it and it will carry some of her toys in the pockets. During her VBS and Bible sport camp she brought this pack as her water bottle!Worth the money!

Reminds me of my kit from the infantry days. Rugged, quality, no complaints so far. Love it as a day pack. Even has a little flap bit where you could secure a tarp or something to do a light-weight overnighter. Recommended for people like myself who extensively hike and hunt and want something that’ll hold water, rain gear, and not much else.
