Appreciated smart lock
This high-end smart lock is really convenient for me now. I often leave the key at home and have to wait for my family to come back to open the door for me when I get home. Since the smart lock is equipped, I canât Iâm locked out again, itâs really useful and easy to installð

Good lock, excellent customer service.
The lock quality is impressive and very sturdy. Installation was easy and fairly quick. App setup was also very easy and worked as expected. I am fairly impressed that the door sensor worked through about 2 to 2.5 inches of door frame. I did initially have issues joining the lock to my TP-Link Deco mesh network, and had to configure my network for 2.4GHz only to get it to connect. Once connected I was able to swap back to Dual band. I also did have issues with the lock staying connected and it would drop off randomly. I placed a customer service ticket and my lock was updated to a new firmware remotely by their tech department which has since solved the issue. I would definitely recommend and purchase another if the style matched my front door. ð

After having had the August smart lock system for years, I replaced my front door with an outward swinging hurricane door, so I needed to replace my locks. I did my research and according to various articles this was rated as one of the top locks available and would work with an outward opening door. Well, it can be made to work however trying to calibrate it to lock outomatically is a mission, no matter how you set it the moment you open the door the deadbolt locks instantly before the door is even closed, I have done everything possible to stop this from happening to no avail, let’s not even discuss the consumption of batteries, if you even contemplate purchasing this lock, make sure you own some stock with the brand, because you will find yourself changing these every two weeks, not to mention that the app. Most of the time you can not communicate with the lock remotely. My suggestion is do some extensive research if you’re in the market for a smartlock.**** update first I want to say that the customer service team is excellent, I was contacted by customer service, to give more feedback on the issues I was having, they immediately offered me a replacement or refund of my order, so I took the replacement as this was something I needed. I’m so glad I did this lock is now functioning as it should and I couldn’t be happier. Kudos to your great customer service team and thank you.

The lock works well with all 4 methods (fingerprint, code, app and key). The door hardware is weighty and feels secure. I like the push-pull feature. It’s still new so I can’t speak to battery life yet. Very impressed and pleased with my purchase. Recommended.

I brought this lock back in August for my house and I have went through so many batteries trying to keep it operating. The battery life is horrible, so far i have been through 5 sets of batteries with having to change them every two to three weeks. I turned the WiFi connection off to try to preserve the battery but unfortunately that has not made a significant difference. Without this enable you will lose features such as remote operation and smart home controls such as Alexa. If constantly having to change the batteries is not an issue the lock is okay.We do have some issues most days with the fingerprints recognition so we would have to type in our codes. Other than that it was fairly easy to install and comes with two spare keys if it stops working. I did love that I could unlock the door without even being at home but obviously that was before I had issues with the batteries.For the price of this lock I would not recommend it to others. I wish I wasnât outside my return window so I could replace it with something else.

Too many issues had to return
First of all, every time I filter âsmart lockâ results in Amazon by âAlexaâ controllable, this lock came up so I thought it would fit into my Alexa-controlled smart home system. It doesnât. Not sure who is at fault for that, maybe Amazonâs filters. But I am returning this lock due to other issues: 1) Keeps disconnecting, canât keep it connected and online 2) The firmware says itâs out of date but wonât update no matter what I do or try 3) Then the handle broke on the inside! See video. This trapped us inside! Lucky I have a side door or we would have had to climb out a window to escape the house! And I am disabled I use a walker so I couldnât get out a window anyway. But the final straw was 4) the code that I created for the contractor stopped working. It was not a temp code, it was permanent. I live 1.5 hrs round trip from the house the whole reason I got a smart lock with codes was so I would not have to travel to the house to let the contractor in/out. Total fail. I am returning for a refund.
