This is perfect for speedlights up to an AD200, which I have. It is far sturdier (even with an umbrella or small light box) than the cheap aluminum stands available elsewhere. My biggest gripe is that it doesn’t extend very high, and if you place the legs at their max angle for height, stability is quickly compromised. But again, it’s better than the skinny aluminum ones, while remaining light and compact.

This is a great tripod , very compact and expands to full size. The legs adjust to provide great stability. Folds to very small size and is very light.

Perfect for traveling
I bought it mainly to add to my travel flight kit and it works perfect. When folded it actually fits in a small carryon that fits frontier carryon specification, I do believe it would fit in the personal item bag but wouldn’t recommend it. But for sure it fits in the carryon folded. It’s not very sturdy but holds my amaran 100d without worry. Haven’t tried it with a light and soft box. But it will hold hold any travel light. Extended its over 6ft tall which is more than enough for most scenes. Legs open wide enough it’s very light weight so you may wanna weigh it down for certain applications I used the clip sand bags filled with 12oz water bottles and it was great. I have also uses my camera bag on the center hook as stability weight. For the price I don’t think it gets any better.

Love love love this tripod is super sturdy and gets super small that fits my backpack when I go to create content for my clients. I love that I had different sizes so itâs super versatile. My continuous light and flash are pretty heave but the tripod resists

Great soft box tripod from tripping over from wind
It is a light weight tripod and great for my soft box strobe light. I was using a regular light tripod and it had tripped over many times with sudden wind. The other stainless steel big tripod is just too big and too heavy. This one can has a wide stance and very good and cheap. It is tall enough for most situations. It is good investment to protect your strobe from damage on tripping over.

This is my second time returning this product, and both times it was due to the same issue in the same area. The design is good, but the material quality is really poor. Such a critical part should be made of metal, not plastic.The connection points for adjusting the tripod leg angles are made of plastic, which makes them very prone to damage.
