GLASS OF WATER FOR YOUR FACE
The description of this says “Like a glass of water for your face” , and they were not lying. I have really sensitive skin and dry skin. This stuff feels Alittle watery, but it goes on so nice. It’s got really good ingredients not all that added crap. I’ve been using this for a week now and have noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference in my face. It’s way more moisturized and stays moisturized all day long. There is no scent. Which I’m fine with. The texture feels like lotion when you scoop it out but applies nice when you rub it in.

It’s better than any other moisturizer I’ve tried
I find this moisturizer to be more on the medium side instead of “light” now this isn’t a bad thing for myself because I am pairing it with a retinol cream and I’m going to need that moisture support when it’s being used. However it’s not heavy feel on the face. Where my face feels like it can’t breathe, it’s actually pretty normal feeling as it absorbs well, it doesn’t appear to make my face greasy looking – just a nice glow. It’s got an okay smell. It’s not particularly “stinky” but it’s also not a “no smell” I’m a moisture snob so…you can take the remarks with a grain of salt if you’d like. Over all it’s a better moisturizer than I have found around store shelves organic and the big box stores, Not too thin like water, not thick and heavy. It’s kinda like butter in a way kinda soft but melts right in with out the greasy feel though. It does give my skin on my face a good look, doesn’t appear too dry or too moisturized aka “greasy” I like it’s got some skin barrier properties to it as I’m using retinol to destroy my own. Anyways it’s a fraction of the cost of what the dermatologist recommended not greasy like those recommended and it has all the things they put on a check list to have in a moisturizer while under going a retinol treatment. It ranks okay with the EWG and so far I’m fairly happy with it. We shall see if it causes break outs but I’m not predicting any as of current – I can usually tell if a product is going to break me out by using it the first time by how it sits and feels on the skin.

Feels a little thick at first in my hand but when applied, the warmth of my hands and face makes it silky, smooth and slightly cooling (refreshing). I have had no skin issues whatsoever since starting 3 months ago. There is little to no odor which I appreciate. The only thing I have noticed is that if I am too generous in my application my skin may feel a little oily but seems to improve with all day wear. Absorbs nicely for a smooth, soft face.

People are guessing the amount of product in their jars simply by eye-balling it which is never accurate. Attached is a pic of an empty pod and a video of a pod refill. I have yet to see a verified 0.90 fl. oz review. No, I don’t work for Honest Co. I have not had any problems with ingredient separation, missing product, or receiving previously used and returned products. Always verify the seller as there are a lot of shady ones out there.Pricing for the full jar is fair. Pricing for the pod refill is even better. It is well worth it when I compare Honest Hydrogel to luxury brands that fail the basic field test and try to make you pay for 20+ excessive/unnecessary ingredients. Hydrogel is blowing them out of the water.There is some resistance when spreading the cream at first, but the cream “bursts and melts” and becomes much more water-like. My skin feels dewy (some may describe it as oily or gross) and has the gloss of the moisturizer on it which I like. I don’t try to powder it because that’s the moisturizer at work. The bigger hyaluronic molecule sits on top of the skin while the smaller-sized molecule sinks into the epidermis. I recommend this for dry, oily, acne-prone and sensitive skin, of which I have all four conditions. The ingredients of this hydrogel don’t aggravate my skin. Sometimes, I reapply another layer later in the day but usually do not. When reapplying, the melting sensation doesn’t happen because there is already moisturizer on my skin. Hydrogel is my primary moisturizer both day and night and stays put (no pilling) under my sunscreen, whether tinted or not, and with bronzer drops mixed in. I don’t know how it is under foundation since I don’t wear foundation.This is unscented and not occlusive so this doesn’t clog my pores. I think people need to go over their skincare routines, products and procedures before blaming other products. If you put a high-quality product, such as Honest hyrdogel cream, on top of 1) unprepped or unclean skin along with 2) an already bad product on it, you will always get bad results from the first two issues no matter what you put over them. Then again, this product could really be garbage on any individual. My personal experience with Honest Hydrogel is clear, dewy, moisturized skin that is soothed and calm. It’s not the cure for everything, but it is an essential part of my routine. I have been using it since 2019

My face tends to break out from moisturizers that are either too greasy or they have too much “stuff” in them, and sometimes even get a bit of eczema when the season changes to colder temperatures. I have been using this cream for a couple of weeks now, and while I am not expecting any miracles, my skin seems happy with it. I will continue using it and see how it handles the harsh Canadian winter as well and report back.

I bought this as a trial pack before investing a bigger bottle. It suits my oily skin and it helps to reduce my breakouts. The brightening serum really brightens my skin and my skin is glowy now.
