Love the flavor
I was worried that a decaf coffee would taste terrible, But this is the best coffee I’ve had and the fact it is decaf is great. My husband is enjoying it also. (he hated decaf until now)

Easily the best-tasting decaf I’ve ever tasted
While tastes differ, this time, this particular product retains the taste of coffee beans, although it’s closest to espresso, which might or might not appeal to you. Dark roast is often used in order to get rid of mold or to cover unpleasant flavor, and I cannot say if either of those applies here, but the beans are roasted so dry that I use up to 50 percent more of this than in most other types of coffee (we prefer 3 or 4 darkness on a scale of 5, and this one is a 5). The outcome, however, tastes good enough to me to mix these beans with regular organic beans or even consume the brew out of this on its own.

Deep flavor profile, clean finish
I really love this organic espresso. We have a Breville Expresso maker with grinder (now over 10 years old and still loving it) and this makes a truly great espresso when ground and brewed in one shot. It has a complex, deep and satisfying flavor and has a very clean mouth feel and taste. This last point is important because many coffees are too heavily processed and end up with a chemical residual taste or feel. I think DD is guilty of this.If you are a regular decaf espresso drinker, you know that finding a good decaf espresso that has full body is not always easy. This one does not disappoint and it’s organic beans and decaf process ensures a natural experience. Have also gifted this to others who also felt similarly about it. While not cheap, it’s not outrageous given current premium coffee prices.

The beans appears dark roast, but grinding finds a look like medium roast. The taste is a bit bitter. The flavor is full and good, other than the bitterness.

Great value, no added chemicals!
With the cost of food getting so crazy this is still a great value and I like it, I like strong coffee.After i wrote my first review I saw a article about Methylene Chloride used to remove the caffeine in decaffeinated coffees. The article said EVEN!! Swiss water processed used this chemical. There was a list of company’s coffees they tested and if they have Methylene Chloride an active ingredient in paint stripper that was recently banned by the EPA. However, the FDA currently allows methylene chloride to be used in the coffee decaffeination process and brands are not even required to disclose the decaffeination process on their label or not. This company’s other decaf (gorilla) was in the article and no Methylene Chloride was deceted. After reading this I called the company and asked about the Hurricane Espresso Rost and they said they never use any chemicals or Methylene Chloride in any process only water WHEW! So while I cannot speak for all decafs, decaf drinker drink safely 🙂 This has been and will continue to be my go to coffee! Priced well, yummy and chemical free 🙂

The product’s value is in its flavour of hazelnut and cream. but after trying it, I couldn’t taste the hazelnut or the cream. In addition, the use by date was a month and 1/2 from my receipt date.very disappointed

The packaging is clear plastic which doesn’t keep the beans as fresh for a longer time due to the beans absorbing the light and heat from the tropical climate leading to earlier degradation, despite keeping in an airtight container. If foil wrappers are used, it wil be more heatproof and prevent light to enter, ensuring the beans of higher level of freshness. Especially since this is a 1kg package that takes me about 3 weeks to consume after opening the package.
