I’m honestly not sure how to feel about this book. The author lays out a remarkable list of benefits attributed to Red Light Therapy (I do know that there is a lot of information out there about it’s benefits etc.) but she doesn’t appear to have any qualifications personally. That’s fine, but she doesn’t really state clearly that she’s an enthusiast and not an expert, although there are the fine print disclaimers at the front that most people probably don’t read. I suppose it’s just that all her books seem to be health-based that I’d expect at least a certificate or two to her name, all I could find was that she’s ‘a passionate advocate for natural wellness’. She doesn’t introduce herself or give any background or reason to seek out her opinion on this subject. I do think it’s important to give people some background when you’re talking about health advice.The list of potential treatments are presented in a very appealing way, and she doesn’t appear to be selling anything, you can feel her genuine enthusiasm. But it leaves one feeling like they either need a full RLT suit or many hours a week to devote to zapping their various bits.Lastly, the book itself needs editing. Some sections are listed twice (section 3.4, for instance) and another skips numbers, going from 4.2 to 4.4. These errors are actually listed in the table of contents as well (which also changes indent partway through). Considering the subject matter and that it’s being presented as advice, it’s a bit sloppy.Overall, though, I do believe that RLT has many good uses and benefits.
