I got some minnows from the bayou to live with my mud turtle. The minnows enjoy the flake food much more than pellets I was trying to feed them. The tiniest minnows are actually able to eat these flakes and while the flakes are large, just pinching them before dropping them in the water crumbles them easily to small size flakes. They donât seem to dirty the water as much as the pellets either. My minnows are healthy and even reproducing in the tank!

My fish have been eating this food always. They are over 8 years old. Great appearance of their color. Food quality is great I will use no other. Easy to pour I just cut small section out of foil top.durable canister. No smell and water stays pretty clear. Soft food for them to eat.

Store in a dry spot out of the way and it’ll last a long time. I alternate days with flake and the small pellets. A little goes a long way. I crumble the larger flakes a bit and find my smaller fish eat it easier, keeps less flake falling to the bottom.* Tips – many set up and first timer videos show filling 10 gallon tanks or smaller with a lot of vegetation and sand. If you’re first time, try using less – I prefer larger gravel size stone, 1/2 to 1 inch size, in a 1″ layer at the bottom at most. Add one or two decorative things like a castle or log, but make it something that won’t be hard to clean later. Something your fish can use as structure in their environment is good. After years of messing with live plants, I opted for artificial, “plastic”, safe for fish. Your water will stay cleaner for longer periods of fish. And do water changes, regularly, so your fish have a healthy environment. It will look better too.
