this Aodethon Military Tactical Backpack model A1-black was much larger than I thought it would be. It’s a great size to put together an emergency pack. There are tons of pockets and spots to place things but something about the pack feels like a design for a smaller pack was just enlarged… for example, the water bottle side pockets are enormous. Perhaps this is why I was surprised by the size of the pack when it arrived.. lolThe pack material feels a little stiff and more of a plastic than a fabric. It may just be the waterproof coating but I figured it was worth noting. For me however, this is perfect to replace our family emergency bag that’s overflowing with items that we might need in the event of a natural disaster or other unexpected event.

You Get What You Pay For
For $35, it’s fine. However, it’s an odd design that didn’t fit my needs. There is one huge space, and the rest of the compartments are somewhat small. If that’s what you need, great. The lining is very cheap and flimsy, and there are so soooooo many superfluous buckles and clasps! This bag would be good for storage, but it will not stand up to any regular use.

Ripped in little over a month.
I bought this bag for work which carries a couple of binders and notebooks. I’ve had it for 34 days and it ripped. It is light and thought it would be great because it’s supposedly water proof. There’s so many straps to it. Sooo many. I’m so unsatisfied to have to buy a new/different bag. My last penguin bag lasted over a year and I donated it because it wasn’t waterproof. I’m so disappointed.

The backpack has lots of good sized smaller pockets apart from the two larger ones and they can be really useful for carrying for all kinds of things especially if it is used every day. I use it for daily shopping and recently, used it for a short trip. One small pocket holds 6 plastic shopping bags without bulging, another is perfect for passport and medication and immediately behind that one (it’s a 2 in 1 pocket) is another for extra phone and pad cables. The main compartment is a good size but, as usual, it has a laptop sleeve which I wish it didn’t as it could take more clothing. Once this is filled, the second main pocket is only useful for slim stuff. There is an outer clasp that can be tightened to ‘seal’ the backpack more securely from top to bottom although this slightly impedes the opening of the main pocket but, a little patience, puts that right. Overall, it’s a reasonably good backpack and that’s why it gets four stars.
