Great when we’re camping!
After seeing one of these used in several YouTube videos, I had to try it out myself. This thing is incredibly useful! It is a very high quality, very sharp and very easy to use. I wish I had gotten this years ago! And all the drilled out pieces are large enough to use when you’re starting a campfire! A+ camping tool!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ð¯ð¯ð¯ð¯ð¯ð¯ –

The tool is great. The holder, not so much.
Be wanting one of these for a while, so picked up this one. Very disappointed in the holder as it is made of naugahide or plastic leather. The tool itself is very well made. But I will make a belt sheath of real, heavy cow leather that will outlast me.

Great tool
Just the tool for those needful projects in the bush. It’ works well if you know how to use it. However the sheath could have been better. At least the snap should work properly. Lets face it, You’re not taking the toolbox to the woods. Maybe a waxed canvas tool roll up will work better.

Does What It Says
I ordered this on a whim, but it did exactly what it described. My two knocks on it, and one is small and trivial:1) it didnât come with the leather wrap like other similar items for when staking branches thinner for the drilled hole.2) getting it off the sticks once youâve punched them down is a TASK. Much harder than it should need to be.Other than that, a solid piece of equipment.

Well crafted
Great tool

A fun tool
I watched someone using a similar tool on YouTube and decided to get one. This particular auger was one of the least expensive ones I could find. It works fine, but the metal is a little soft so be careful when using the eye to make pegs. Because it’s on the small side, it’s a bit difficult to make really deep holes. The small size does allow you to easily bring it along when hiking. My buddy bought a longer auger and we both found it best to back it out when drilling every once in awhile to keep the wood shavings from binding up the drill. I also found I preferred to make my pegs by shaving down an appropriately sized branch rather than use the eye. The pegs I made using the eye didn’t seat quiet tight enough for my taste. It’s definately a fun tool and it works pretty well. This particular one is small enough to take along without being a burden.

Upon unboxing, I noticed marring and knicks on the edge of scotch eye but shouldn’t affect the function.

The eye snapped from the shaft the very first time I tried it, so be wary if you buy it â
