    Soundcore Just Keeps Getting Better
Soundcore always impresses me. I’ve been with them since they’re Liberty 3. Even when I have been able to start affording some more expensive options, I always feel like it would be a waste of money to do so. These Soundcore Earbuds punch way above their weight class as always, and the new charging case features are really neat!Things I liked:Sound on these is incredible! The clarity in each range (bass, mids and highs) is there and frankly surprisingly effective for earbuds. They’re not quite the same quality as my Sony headphones, but, they’re earbuds, so I’m amazed that I’m to the point of even starting to hope they could compare. One of the first things I noticed is how loud these can get. For those of you who don’t like this, it’s okay, you can set a limit to the volume. For those of you who found yourselves trying to stick the earbuds further into your ear at time on the Liberty 4 Pro, that is definitely not necessary on these! I usually was close to full volume most of the time on the 4 and now I’m usually at half volume on the 4 Pro. I’m not sure that’s how it should work on paper, but that’s how I find myself adjusting the volume nonetheless. The new case features are cool. Some say they’d never use them, but honestly I use the Noise Cancelling adjustment all the time. And the remote camera I plan to use a lot.I love being able to find my earbuds and case! It would be nice to be able to use this functionality even when the earbuds are still inside the case because frankly, I misplace my case a lot and spend a good 10 minutes or more until I find them in some weird place where I decided to set them down. This should help half the time, but the other half, I guess I’ll still have to play detective when I lose them. The earbuds charge fast in the case! Wow! And I can actually see the progress thanks to the screen on the case. I absolutely love being able to see the current battery life so easily! The battery life lasts a long time for these as well. I usually don’t run into any issues with battery life even though I use these all the time. But if they ever start to get low, I usually just leave one earbud in and charge the other the swap. The case does seem like it could have a bit more battery life, but it’s not bad, so I can’t criticise it too much. Many more features and great things that are true about the 4s I could say here. Their app is great, and I really recommend getting familiar with it and making the most of these earbuds as a result!A few things I wish could be improved:Heart rate in the ear on Liberty 4 was an okay idea, but the lack of app functionality, integration capability and accuracy of it made me not use it much. Besides, with my exceedingly accurate Garmin devices, it was completely unnecessary, so I’m glad they threw it out. That said, I loved posture detection, and instead of getting rid of this feature, I wish they would have further improved it but just left the default off as I understand it wasn’t for everyone.Holding the action button instead of using a double press like in the Liberty 4 to end the call is… well… kind of annoying. I’ll say goodbye to someone and have three seconds of awkward silence trying to end the call. I would love for this too be improved, or at least be an option. The mics are great, one of the best in terms of earbud mic quality. That said, there was virtually no improvement this time around. I like the improved sound, but maybe next time SoundCore could come up with ways to improve mix quality even further. Being a musician who regularly uses a Rode NT and Shure SM58, I won’t be satisfied until I get this level of quality. I know it’s dreamlike thinking, but it is nice to strive for!The volume controls are just so hard to use. I put in a recommendation that they add volume controls to the case which may be useful. But the volume controls on the earbuds, although nice to have, just don’t register very smoothly. I don’t want SoundCore to get rid of this, but I do hope that in the next gen this is fixed and more smooth.Swipes on the car are usually really smooth, but taps are hard to get to register. It would be nice to have some kind of improvement here.Overall, fantastic earbuds, and I hope the company continues to come up with new things and improve their earbuds! I’ll be using these every day until the Liberty 5s come out!

They did it, they updated the gaming mode and it’s now fixed
My initial review was that these earbuds were quite nice but the gaming mode didn’t quite reduce latency to be functional. That has since changed as an update has now fixed it to where I can properly game on my Nintendo Switch and on COD Mobile with my tablet using these earbuds now. I can now properly say that the Liberty 4 Pro may be some of the best value earbuds you can get right now. And by value I mean where it’s hitting way above it’s weight class. Yes there’s better earbuds out there for audio but with the features listed and how well they perform, you get some really nice earbuds for $130.What I love the most is the ear nozzle shape as it’s a regular circular tip, meaning 3rd party ear tips like Spinfit will work flawlessly. Now; Anker does include 6 sets of sizes but sadly these don’t stay in my ears, but the freedom to use something else to make them work also benefits the customer. Especially if you’re someone with a silicone or latex allergy and need memory foam. The ear nozzle size is almost a universal shape to where many 3rd party ear tips will work. (And without affecting the seal too!)I have been enjoying these even before the gaming mode update. Audio is pretty nice and probably the best I’ve had. My past earbuds were the Jabra Elite 8 active (Gen 1 & 2), Anker P40i, Liberty 4 NC, and the Pixel Buds Pro. These have the best audio and ANC among them all, however transparency is nice but not it’s strongest point. Still good and easy to hear your surroundings as long as you’re blasting these at max volume. (Which is very loud, you’d be damaging your hearing doing this often)The charging case is a neat gimmick but it does make me a bit uneasy as it looks fragile. I’ve yet to use the functions on it as it caused a lot of accidental touches, which had me think it was the buds being faulty. What is a positive is the charging speed, they topped off from 30% to full in almost 20 minutes. That’s impressive. What is a downside is the battery of the Buds themselves. Even without LDAC on it was about 5 hours of basic use to have my buds get to that 30%. That charging speed however does sorta make up for it.I imagine you’ll find something to like about these earbuds as there’s many options that now have been updated to properly work. (Gaming Mode especially) And if you’re like me with weird shaped ears, you can find other 3rd party tips to have these work, which was almost impossible until now. I’ll be keeping these for as long as they work and I hope Anker keeps using this design with their ear nozzles on their buds. (Please do not repeat what you did with the Liberty 4 NC and the P40i earbuds)

Sound is great, noise canceling OK
Sound – excellent, great bass, midrange and highs. Adjustable in the appComfort is good, very light weight and I have had no issues with the devices falling out.Controls work OK and are customizable in the app. The slide for volume could use some improvement,Case is, to me, a nice toy but I do most of the control with my phone and the app. The battery display for he buds is handy. I ordered the white so I can’t see the readouts with the lid closed. I ordered white because I didn’t want the excessively slippery case.Battery life with the noise canceling on is not as good as I expected or as advertised. It’s not an issue to me. Recharging the buds is quick. My main issue with the product is the noise control. It is easily adjustable in the app and user friendly, but it does not cancel noise as well as I expected. I also have Liberty 4 NC buds and they have excellent sound canceling. I flew a few days ago and compared the 2 devices during take off and while cruising. I was seated in a window seat with the engine intake right outside my window. I swapped devices during takeoff and cruise – the difference was significant with the NC buds doing a much better job than the Pro. The NC is fine for noise on the street or any moderated noise but not for work with power equipment or flying. I’ll keep them both as I really enjoy the sound and comfort of the Pro. I hope the noise canceling issue can be resolved with an update through the app.
