Happier Than I Thought I’d Be
I want to start out by saying I’ve had a really mixed experience with Soundcore products. I’ve ordered several headphones and several earbuds. The only one I’ve kept was the Liberty 4 NC, and even those diden’t “wow” me. They were good. They were passable. And fine enough for me to keep them (unlike the other headphones and earbuds). So when I decided to take a chance on the AeroFit 2, I was skeptical.Lately, I’ve been really interested in adding open ear buds to my rotation. I have several examples from various brands: Shokz OpenFit Air, Shokz OpoenRun Pro 2, Nothing Ear Open, and Bose Open Ultra. So adding these AeroFit 2 to the mix had some built-in hurdles.Happily, these are becoming some of my favorites. They are comfortable, even though they look a bit bulky. I am able to wear them all day long without any issues. The sound is at or near the top of all the open buds I own. This really surprised me. At first, I loved the Shokz OpenFit Air. Then I tried the Nothing Ear Open, and felt those sounded even better. The Bose sound fantastic, but the wearing experience is different. Neither bad nor good, just different because of the form factor. The Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 are intriguing because of the dual drivers (bone conduction for the mids and highs, air drivers for the bass). However, at the end of the day, I feel the sound is my least favorite. Again, like the Bose, their form factor makes them stand out and may be a positive or a negative depending upon one’s use.But once I tried these Soundcore AeroFit 2, I found myself listening to them more and more at the expense of some of the other buds. Head to head, I like the sound of these better than the Shokz OpenFit Air. It’s not that the Shokz are bad. I can listen to the Shokz for an extended period of time and be quite happy with them. But then when I put on the AeroFits, I just feel like the sound experience is elevated. The sound is fuller. The bass is more pronounced. And I feel the volume can go higher.I’m glad I took a chance on these. The sound, the fit, the look, the comfort…it all comes together here. But then on top of it all, the price is just amazing. Full price, $99 is truly a treat for the performance they offer.

    Deliver on their Promise
The short version is that these deliver on their promise and they do so very well. I use these for running and commuting to work on foot in downtown Chicago, as well as for phone calls/video calls. I wanted to be able to hear my surroundings during those activities and to limit how much time I spend with something plugging my ear canal. For years I’ve used the kind of earbud that has a silicon tip and plugs your ear canal to block outside noise (which they do well) but I’m worried it could be impacting my hearing and/or ear canal, especially since I wear them so much. The PRIMARY reason I bought the Soundcore V30is (I think the V20is are their more recent model) AND the Soundcore Aerofit 2s (twice as expensive with some upgrades) was for marathon training and running long races. Below I’ve provided a comparison of each (they both receive 5* from me).DELIVERING ON THEIR OVERALL PROMISE: both do this very well!COMFORT: they’re both very comfortable under any circumstances except when you have a beanie over them or anything that’ll apply pressured to your ears – they’re still comfortable enough to wear in those circumstances but not as comfortable. I think the Aerofit 2s are a smidge more comfortable and that’s partially because they’re a little smaller, thinner and more flexible/pliable/customizable in their fit.FIT: they both fit surprisingly well and securely – I’ve run marathons in both with sunglasses and a baseball cap/running hat on during the marathons and these fit and stayed comfortably. The Aerofit2s also fit better and more securely than the V30is for the same reasons as mentioned above. The ability to customize the fit of the Aerofit2s is one of the areas in which they separate themselves from the V30is in a meaningful way – if you have unique ears/non typical ears this is something you may want to consider.SWEAT RESISTANCE: both have done a really good job of managing sweat over prolonged periods of time (hours). The V30is took an inadvertent direct hit from a cup of water during a race – I thought they were going to fry and I’d be stuck with one earbud for 20 miles but they handled it like a champ! So far they’ve both been great on this front.BATTERY LIFE: as promised for both (very good).APP FEATURES: both have a robust app that helps with customizing their sound and touch controls which is handy.SOUND: I’m not an audiophile but for what these are I find them impressive in this department. The Aerofit2s have noticeably better sound but not meaningfully better (if that makes sense). Neither are going to be the best sounding earbuds out there because of their style so be mindful of that pending your use case for these.VOLUME: One issue some seem to have with this style of earbud is volume not being loud enough, these get plenty loud enough!MICs for Calls: I hate that most reviews don’t address this. These both work well in most situations but – like every single pair of wireless earbuds I’ve ever owned at every price point – in a really noisy environment the clarity of them breaks down. BOTH work well in quiet environments and also relatively noisy ones (I tested both on my balcony with traffic below and a decent amount of wind – their clarity deteriorated slightly but both still worked really well. The Aerofit2s are superior in this area and this is likely the other area where they separate themselves in a noticeable way from the V30is (customizable fit being the first area).Other mentionable differences: the Aerofit2s case is more premium feeling and slightly smaller (both are bulkier than average for earbuds but not problematically so). The Aerofit2’s case has wireless charging if that matters to you. The Aerofit2’s bluetooth capabilities are better and allow you to be connected to multiple devices at once.CONCLUSION: if you are thinking of getting a set of over-ear earbuds primarily for working out, casual use, commuting, etc. then either are excellent choices and I’d probably save the $ and go with the V30is or V20is if premium sound isn’t a priority for you. If you want something with better sound, a more customizable fit, some additional features and a better aesthetic when on then the Aerofit2s are IMO worth the extra $ (if those things matter to you).

These have surprising sound quality, very balanced with good bass despite the open design, and can be cranked way louder than anything I ever owned. All that, plus you hear everything around you! It’s really surprising how well you can hear the world even while having a music background going at a reasonable volume. The case is somewhat bigger than other soundcore earbuds, but still plenty portable. The magnetic charger works fine, and I appreciate that it stays magnetically centered on a MagSafe charger. The case has just a single flashing led light and I don’t think it indicates its level of charge visually which is a bummer.Still love em!

I think I found my favourite earphones. I simply love them! And they really are a big improvement compared with the Aerofit.Out of the box you have the earphones, case, usual forbiddingly short USB C cable and a handshake with love straight from Soundcore.Let me remind you right now that these are OPEN-EAR earphones! So, don’t be silly dropping comments about the fact they are not noise cancelling! Because, being able to listen to your surroundings is the main purpose of these earphones! With this being said, I simply love to have music hovering above my life while I’m doing things. It is like in the movies, when there is the protagonist doing something with an epic music playing in the background. This is how they feel like.As for any earphones’ microphone, you can use it for calls as long as the environment you are in is not too loud or too windy, delivering an average sound quality but improved compared with the Aerofit. As always, don’t rely on this to record your podcast or for the karaoke night. They are extremely comfortable, well balanced and lightweight, to the point I seriously forgot I was wearing them. I really like the design. They are water resistant, meaning they can be wet as long as they are not soaked in water. So, you can always properly clean them up after a hard sweaty training. Surely, being open-ear means you won’t have issues with earwax shenanigans. With this new pair, I’m glad they have sorted out the big issue that ruined the experience with the Aerofit. They have a hook shape with 4 adjustable positions which makes them really comfy to wear, also they stay still in the position you put them on. They have a good grip on the ears and they barely wobble. Really comfortable to wear for running.Yes, unfortunately with OPEN-EAR earphones you have to trade off sound quality for what is a different experience. However, despite the fact that I am an average user, I found the sound delivered to be really nice and detailed, way better than the Aerofit. They have bass, also depth, overall I particularly enjoy it. Also, the volume has been a big improvement and increased quite a bit compared with the predecessor. Indoors and outdoors you won’t have absolutely any issue in listening to music, podcasts or videos, even in noisy environments.Battery life is just extreme. If stranded on a desert island, you would still be able to die before you drain the battery out. Dying in style, listening to your favourite songs. Such an epic death! The case is lightweight and not noticeable when in the pockets.

These are the second pair of Anker earwear – loved my other ones, but they would start to pop out of my ear when I was going certain exercises at the gym – these new ones are a game changer on that front! And the sound is next level, so much better than ever before and that is even for the fact that they sit outside my ear… can’t recommend them highly enough. Did a lot of research on these types and so glad I went with these!

Use these for walking my dog, and can hear others talking when are dogs are interacting. However I need to turn up the volume when near a main street with lots of traffic, which I expected. The app allows custom setup and really helps to round out the sound, wether it be podcasts or electronic or rock music.
