Wonderful scratcher, my Miyu loves it!
My cat absolutely loves this scratcher. This is my replacement purchase of this product, since like all scratchers it shredded apart (thatâs kind of its purpose). It took a year for her to tear through it, which in my opinion is pretty good considering she uses us constantly. I like the base size, and she loves to play with her toys around and on it. I also love it because itâs compact without being too small for her to enjoy. Sturdy enough to never fall over and just the right height. The feather toys attached both times tore off within a day, but I usually just tie and reattach them or a put new feather string toy on. Problem solved. I like that you have the option to take off the attached toys as well. Overall great product for the price. Yes, it may shred and seem low quality to some but thatâs itâs purpose and I feel for the price and the amount of time it takes to need replacing, itâs a great deal.

Cat LOVES
I have now bought this scratch pole for the 3rd time. Not because the quality is poor, but because my cat absolutely loves it! He doesn’t like rope or other materials on other scratch poles. It holds up to my little guy’s scratching and playing for about a year, before it really starts to fray badly. For the price, I have no problem with that! You can put it together in 2 minutes and it’s ready to use.One note, it is on the small and light side. Might not be great for larger cats. My cat also prefers to have the pole laying diagonally/horizontallly, not vertically which I believe helps with it’s sturdiness. I could see it tipping over if used by a stronger/older cat with it positioned traditionally.

I buy two of these a couple times a year my cats love them. Iâd say they are well made, but maybe carpeting could be stronger? Iâve tried the more durable scratching posts but my cats wonât use them.

Most loved claw exerciser in my house!
We have bought 7 of these since October 2019. We had two adult cats using it extensively! My calico female lays on her side and bats at the toys while resting the other 3 paws on the carpet, claws dug in! She scratches on it and bites on it. She will tear this thing up in no time! It’s not meant to last forever and my kitties get the exercise they need for their claws and teeth.We just got two kittens, they love it as well. They love batting at the toys, one on each toy. They climb the post. They think they pretty tough!As long as they keep making this product, I will keep buying!

Not the best choice for an adult cat
My cats are 3 years old and pretty aggressive on their scratching posts. I purchased two of the SmartyKat Scratch ‘N Spin Carpet Cat Scratching Post (one for each cat). Upon arrival, I only assembled one to test it out. They managed to chew one of the wand toys off within the first few hours of play. The post also seems to tip over easily, and the carpet is already fraying. They use it, but I think it is better suited for kittens. I returned the second one.

Only toy that my two fat cats, absolutely love
Both my fats cats really love this toy. I bought them several hundred dollars worth of other items and yet this one they wear out and Iâve had to purchase a second. Itâs easy to put wherever they might be scratching and if you use the leg from the sofa to hold it down and it works perfectly and doesnât get knocked over.

When I say three I mean best to use for kittens. I care for neonatal kittens and as they gown this little climbing post is wonderful and fun to watch them learn how to climb and play. When the big cats get near it they can easily shred it to pieces faster than normal due to body weight and height. If you have an adult cat I would recommend purchasing a scratch post over 30″ tall as this one is just too short and causes them to slouch to try and stretch. You may find over time the top may pop off if you constantly twirl the feather bit while playing. It is help on with a screw. You will have to pry the plastic top off to get the nut on the inside as it will fall. Place the screw back and tighten the nut and push top back on.

Poor durability and construction
i purchased two of these in hopes of keeping my two younger cats from scratching furniture up, I returned one for a refund in less than a month. I was disappointed with the construction, first it’s top heavy and would not stay up unless I used furniture to hold the base down but then the top spinners wouldn’t spin! Then the carpet material was the worst, I could tell it would start falling apart as soon as I opened it, but wanted to give it a try anyway. I’ve had it less than two months and the carpeting is fraying like crazy, I’m sure it will end up in the trash within another month. I will continue to look for something small that will last alot longer. My GoPetClub condo has held it’s own since I got these two guys over 7 months ago. Again, just wanted something smaller to place in other areas of my apt.
