Pet grooming unit should work well once the pet and its owner figure it out
The product is securely and nicely packaged, with the base unit, hose, and individual attachments each wrapped in a clear plastic bag. I appreciated the long power cord on the base unit, about 13′ long (4 meters), which wraps around and stores in the bottom of the base unit when not in use. The vacuum hose is reasonably long and wraps around the base unit for storage as well.After unpacking, the first thing I tried was to run base unit vacuum at both speeds, and that was fine. Next, I tried turning on the trimming tool which I thought must have a built-in rechargeable batttery, since it also has a USB-C charging port on it. I hit the tool’s power button a few times, and nothing happened. Then I plugged a USB power source into the port, and the light came on, but it still wouldn’t run. Such devices are usually shipped at least partially charged, but apparently this one was not. So I left it to charge for four hours before trying again. Still nothing happened. The instruction sheet says it is powered by an AA battery, was I supposed to install my own? No, there’s no way to get into the battery compartment. Finally, in frustration I held down the power for a couple seconds, and it turned on! Turns out you have to HOLD the power button down for a second or more to turn the unit on or off. This may be a safety feature, but there is no warning or even a mention of this in the instruction sheet.Molly, our 30-lb. labradoodle, did not have a problem with the sound of the base unit in either the low or the high setting. However, she was afraid of the hose and its attachments, and would not allow them to come near her. I was finally able to start acclimating her when she jumped on to the couch with me where I was sitting, hoping to be petted, and I was able to use the massaging head, detached from the hose, simply to brush her side in a light petting motion without her seeing what it was. When she finally noticed that it was the massaging head, and not my hand, she still accepted it. I think I will have to do that several times over the coming days before attempting it with the hose attached, and then with the vacuum actually running.Of course, different pets are going to be more or less accepting of the whole thing. Being a novice at this myself, I would have appreciated it if the instruction sheet had a page or more of advice about what to expect and how to acclimate your pet, or even a pointer to an online article or two about it. I was left (and am still left) on my own to discover what works.

Great kit if your pet isn’t scared
I’ll admit, I tried this on a cat. As expected, she’s been scared of it while it’s on, but I’m trying to still ease her into it by using the brushes on her while it’s off. It runs much quieter than a vacuum, but still does make some noise, especially on the stronger suction setting. My cat seems quite a bit less nervous around it than the regular vacuum, but still keeps a little distance.The set itself is great, though. The two suction power settings are nice and strong enough to suck up fur. There are lots of attachments included, whether you’re doing a full groom, just brushing some fur away, or even sucking up some fur around the house. The electric trimmer is neat in the way it can suck up the fur while being used. I also like that the hose is long enough that you don’t have to have your pet right up against the vacuum while grooming them.I did have to read the instructions to make sure I emptied it properly, but once I read them, it was simple to do.

Noisy, but does the job
This works great on my yellow lab that sheds like crazy. It comes with several different attachments and it pulled so much hair out of my dog when I brushed him without making a mess everywhere. It isnât all that quiet though so trying to use it on my cats was not happening. If you have animals that loved to be brushed and donât mind noise, this is definitely a great machine to have.

Nice quality but not for cats
This grooming vac is made well and comes with a bunch of grooming tools and attachments. I originally got this for my cats, but they are not having it. The noise is too much for them. It may work better on other cats or dogs.

Great for cleaning up mess
This grooming kit has made managing pet hair much easier. The vacuum is surprisingly quiet, which helps keep pets calm during grooming sessions, and the dust cup holds a good amount of hair before needing to be emptied. I wouldn’t say the noise is that quiet, but not too loud. Just your usual vacuum noise. Great for cleaning up and grooming dogs.

A little noisy but versatile with many different attachments
This grooming kit has a lot of different attachments that is versatile. However, I think this is better for dogs rather than cats. My cats were scared of the noise although it is advertised as low noise. Suction power is ok but not very strong when using it to vacuum pet hair from my bed.
