My four and five year olds LOVE this game! I love the math skills!
This is the best kids’ card game ever. It is also are go-to birthday gift for friends’ parties. The game itself is a bit like Magic the Gathering for the shorter crowd. There are several cards that have specific roles that can be played to steal queens or block one from being stolen. The math skills are quite impressive, and my four year old learned her addition from playing this game. (You can add up cards to trade them in; the cards are numbers 1-10). My girls will play against each other on their own.I was skeptical at first that there would be too many rules for kids that are so young to remember. However, the love it because the pictures are so engaging and silly. Plus, if you have a girl that is a bit girly, she will love anything that is called “queens.” The caught on so quickly, and we can play for hours. It is much more entertaining for adults than other kids’ games. The game can become more complex as the kids age. For example, we have added our own variations for our older daughter as she has mastered addition and is moving on to subtraction. You can win by playing for four or five queens, or by points. (Each queen has a different point value). It is easier to play for 4 queens instead of playing to 50 because then you would have to add the face value of the queens and make strategic choices about which ones to steal.Another reviewer said that they have a hard time winning if they are playing with more than three people. The rules say to reduce the total point value or amount of queens to win based on the amount of people playing.Really, this is a great game! Small, easy to bring places, well made. We have had ours for months and don’t have a problem with card wear.

Creative fun while learning
My eight year old granddaughter and I are addicted to this game. We love its mild complexity, the focus on easy math and the fact that a game can be played in 10 to 15 minutes. I have come back to buy another game from Gamewright,

Fun for all ages
Definitely a kids game, but it’s the kind that is interesting enough to engage me as an adult so that I enjoy playing the game with my children. I also love that it encourages their playful use of mental arithmetic. The cards are beautifully designed, interesting, and attractive. A round usually takes five minutes or so, so you don’t have to commit to spending a lot of time with it at once, but you can always play it over and over.

Really fun card game
We really enjoyed playing this with our 8 year old. Rules are fairly simple but fun and the illustrations on the cards are awesome. It’s just a refreshing game to play after some of the other inane games that exist. It says recommended for 8+ and I would agree. Part of the rules is you can discard an equation and draw the same number of cards as parts of the equation. Like 3+4=7 would let you draw 3 cards. If you have younger children they can play too.. just skip that rule.

Great game for 4-8 yr olds and adults
This is the third copy of this game I purchased. My granddaughters and I have been playing this game for a couple years and itâs one of our favorites. The rules are fairly simple with a few twists to keep it interesting. There is a little âtake thatâ when someone tries to steal the awakened queen of another player. My grandkids like that. Cards have values in multiples of 5 so the scoring addition is easy. We usually play until someone scores 40 points and wins the game, but there are several end conditions you can use. Younger kids may need help making addition equations to get rid of their number cards so they can hopefully draw a better hand. We played this on teams when the kids were younger. Now they are 7 and 8 and donât need any help. They remember all the rules (the same player canât have both the Cat Queen and Dog Queen in their area because those two fight like cats and dogs – cute!). The extra copies I purchased are to gift. Highly recommend this game and the Gamewright brand for families in general for fun, simple, but not too dull for adults games.

Great for all the kids
I wanted a game for my younger kids to be able to play since they can’t always play the more complicated games the older ones enjoy. This is game is perfect because the little ones like it and the older ones aren’t bored with it. I’m happy because there aren’t that many games all of them can play. But this one they can.

Sweetest game for 1st grade+
My daughter played this game at a friends house and loved it! She came home talking about how to play? All the queens she had won and how she couldnât wait to play with me.After purchasing, weâve played this game so many times! Itâs easy to learn, durable pieces/cards, the cardboard storage box keeps the cards in place, secure and prevents them from bending.A sweet and fun game to play with ages 6 and up!

This game is a blast! The instructions are simple, so kids pick it up really quickly, but itâs still fun for adults too. The gameplay is always different, which keeps it interesting for everyone. Itâs perfect for family game nights, and the small deck size makes it super easy to bring on trips. My kids canât get enough of it, and it keeps them entertained for hours. Definitely recommend for any family!

Love the idea of the game and that it was invented by a family and I must say the game is very engaging for kids aged 7-8. The graphics are beautiful, too. Only disappointed in the quality of the cards, which are too thin and slippery and although weâve only played about 20 times, they already look worn out on the edges.
