Not ready to switch
This does smell great and I love the natural ingredients. Unfortunately this was the first time using bar dish soap and I didn’t like the experience. This would be great for emergencies and outdoor events. But I will stick with my natural liquid soap.

I think that this Eco-Friendly Shadazzle Solid Dish Soap Bar is the perfect soap to use to clean dishes when camping. Just put this soap bar in a waterproof container and you are good to go. There is no need to worry about carrying around and possibly spilling liquid dish detergent.These dish soap bars work well for cleaning a few dishes at a time in the kitchen. They do not work quite so well in a sink full of dishwater.The directions for these soap bars say to use a sponge with them. I don’t use sponges to wash my dishes. I use a dishrag. To use this bar I soaped up my wet dishrag the same way that I would soap up my wet washcloth in the shower.On my wet dishrag this soap bar made some nice suds, however, placing the entire bar of this soap in a sink full of water did not make many suds.Since I let my dirty dishes pile up before I wash them when I do I really need to use a sink full of water. That means that, for my style of dishwashing, these dish soap bars don’t work as well as dish liquid does.For those who do their dishes after each meal I think that these soap bars would work fine.As for grease cutting these soap bars work okay outside of a sink full of dishwater. If I wash a greasy pan using my wet soapy dishrag these soap from these bars does cut through the grease. If I pass my newly cleaned pan back through the sink full of dishwater that I made with using this dish bar soap the pan will collect a new film of grease.I really like the idea of using a bar soap that is more eco-friendly than regular dish soap.I wonder if I could use these soap bars to bathe and wash my hair with? If I ever go camping it would make packing easier if I only had to carry one soap bar around for everything that will need cleaning.Since these dish soap bars don’t work that well with my style of dishwashing, I’m not quite ready to switch over to them from my regular liquid dish soap.I will rate this pack of Eco-Friendly Shadazzle Solid Dish Soap Bars four stars.

Itâs great to sit by the sink and do a glass or a bowl or utensil quickly. I like the way it is convenient less wasteful and I believe it does a great job with grease. I keep it by the sink and a soap dish with one of dish racks on top for convenience

not much foam, not for big batches of dishes
If you like to wash your dishes restaurant style, with a sink of soap water and dirty dishes and a rinse sink? Not necessarily the best choice. If you find yourself wiping off most dishes for the dishwasher (no hand detergent necessary) and then actually washing a few things? this could be for you.I like not storing and shipping big bottles of water, but I think the format of this could be better refined somehow, so it doesn’t feel like body soap in the hand.Probably good for travel — like camping, an uncertain bnb, when you don’t trust the glassware in the hotel. But in that case I’d shave down the bar and stuff part of it into some hosiery and then a travel soap dish. No point carrying a big bar around in that scenario.Also they really don’t degrease that well unless you work up a lot of soap off the bar. I wouldn’t use these for pots and pans. Or for things where I’d rely on a scrub brush.

Nice option to liquid dish soap
I’ve never used bar dish soap before, so this has been an interesting experiment. The results have been mixed. I think the soap does a great job cleaning dishes. It does a good job removing grease. I like that the ingredients are more natural than a lot of liquid soap options. I’m not sure I like not having a sink of soapy water to work with, especially when I want to soak dishes before washing them. It does lather on the dishes, just not in the water. I also don’t think it does as good of a job of breaking up food on plates when soaking them. There is less waste with the bar soap, so I imagine you will save money.Overall, I think this does a great job of cleaning dishes and I like that the ingredients appear to be more natural, but I’m not sure it does as good of a job as my current liquid dish soap, so I’m still up in the air on whether to switch.

Gets greasy dishes squeaky clean. Gonna take some getting used to bc i keep reaching for the soap pump & forgetting that I’m using a bar of soap.

Not sure. Will take getting used to.
I’ve never used solid dish soap bar before. Instructions say to build up suds on sponge and then use. I tried that and it does work. However, I tend to soak dishes with the normal liquid detergent. With this bar soap, I can’t get the same sudsy and foamy water. Instead the water in the sink ends up looking like dirty bath water. I’m still adjusting but right now, probably neutral to slightly negative.

These bars are new for me, but I like the reduced waste. I think itâll save water as well as reduce plastic jugs in the landfill, since I wonât be filling up my sink to wash dishes. I just swipe the sponge across this soap and work it into a lather. And it does lather!It gets a little slimy on the back of the sink, so I guess I need to invest in another soap dish, but thatâs so minor that it isnât really an issue. Overall, Iâm thrilled to try toñ be part of the solution instead of part of the problem. These help!
