Legit cold weather biking pants
Let’s discuss the important aspects of these pants… Size, warmth, quality.I’ve got the short athletic build (5’6″, 175#, large butt and thighs, normal waist – size 33-34 waist) I went with a size L, even though I normally wear mediums. If I put on weight they might be on the tighter side, but for now they are spot on perfect. There is extra length if you are taller, but the Velcro on the ankles will keep the length at bay for shorter guys like me. They also don’t bunch up too much, so they still look good and tapered.Next, warmth. Did my first low 30°F ride today, and stayed very warm. There is some breathability in these pants, but a lot of the heat stays in, and cold stays out. However, the sweat also stays in. In fact, the sweat will stay in the lining for many hours. (I bike to work and by the end of my day, the pants are still moist from my sweat when I put them back on to go home.) But hey, I’ll take it. Haven’t tested them in the rain.Lastly, quality. Haven’t put enough miles in to test longevity, but as far as initial quality, they are pretty solid, and well put together. Only 2 pockets on the left and right sides. Apparently the zippers are sub par. They are not terrible, but they will bust open if your pockets are too full. Not a huge deal, because these pants are legit cold weather biking pants. Very comfortable while riding, and fairly stylish too.

Fit great when sizing up
I purchased these as an outside layer for the winter. Even though I am a M sized female, since I plan on wearing these over other clothing (I’m using these to bike commute) I got a L. They fit perfect with plenty of room for layers. The drawstring is nice in case I’m wearing it over a thinner layer like a base layer or tights. No issues with quality at all. They breathe well but still keep me protected in colder or windier weather. Will layer more underneath when it gets colder but I’ve ridden down into the mid-20s with a and so far they’re working out well. The reflective stripes are super visible and the velcro ankle strap is a nice plus too. I don’t plan on riding in a lot of precipitation but I’ve ridden in misty weather and they keep me warm and dry. Got this during the most recent Amazon Prime Day sale with the matching jacket and couldn’t beat the value.

Good cold weather outer layer.
I am 5′ 11″ and my weight fluctuates between 195-205. I typically wear size 34-46 pants, and I bought the US/EUR size L of these pants and am happy with the fit. They might be a bit longer than I need, but I also tend to wear pants low due to having a bit of a pouchy belly. As far as warmth goes, these are a great outer layer. I have ridden them on my commutes every day in temperatures as low as 19F and had no issues. As with all cold weather riding, layering is key, and most days when my morning commute is between 30F and 40F I have been wearing my summer bib shorts and long socks beneath these. Below 30F I will either wear full length winter bibs or knickers. My commute is only 20-25 minutes, and mostly uphill, so I generate a fair amount of effort and my legs have kept nice and warm every time I have used these.I will echo some of the other reviews that you will want to turn these inside out to air out when you’re done using them, as you will sweat in them. On longer rides in the cold that may end up being an issue, but for my commuting needs these are perfect. These are definitely water resistant, but not waterproof. Puddle splashes, or light mist/drizzle will be fine, but in actual rain, these won’t keep you dry, but again, that is not what I expect them to do, so I am ok with that. One thing to note is that these do not have a zip-open bottom, but rather a velcro strap at the back of the ankle to cinch the pants tight. Not the end of the world, but it has helped me to learn that I much prefer the zipper for a snug that won’t come undone.I cannot speak to the pocket zippers that some reviews have mentioned as I don’t ride with stuff in my pockets, but in the times I have put stuff in and taken them out while wearing the pants off the bike, I have not had any issues with them. The pants offer excellent wind resistance everywhere except the knee area where the material changes to allow for flex, so if you are an old school cyclist that believes your knees need to be warm at all times, be aware of that. And they are still plenty warm in the knee, it just is the only place I have noticed any wind penetration at all.Overall I am really happy with these so far, and I will update this review once we get into properly cold temperatures if need be.

Pretty good for the money.
First off, these are not Pearl Izumi, Pactimo, Castelli, etc. For the money though, they are pretty good, but lack an overall fit, and quality that the big names have. However, they do what they need to – keep the legs warm on cold days, but the material doesn’t move with you as well as clothing from the big guys named above. That said, they do keep the legs warm quite well. On a 50 degree day, with just bib shorts under the pants, my legs were almost too warm after a 5 mile, 25 minute commute. The next day, was 40 degrees, and the legs stayed comfortable on that same commute. So these pants should be very good when the weather gets colder later in the winter. However, besides not moving as well with the legs as mentioned above, they also do not breathe well. I haven’t found any vents that can be adjusted to let out perspiration, so the moisture stays close to the legs, and could be uncomfortable on those colder days as that moisture could get cold next to the legs with no way to vent.Overall, they are pretty decent, should be very good on super cold days with a base layer tight under these to move moisture away from the legs, with these as the out layer blocking wind and the elements and keeping warm.

I recently ordered a pair of trousers that I can confidently say are the best Iâve ever owned. The fit is absolutely perfect, hugging in all the right places while still allowing for plenty of movement. One of the standout features is the adjustable flaps at the bottom, which let me tighten the cuffs for a personalized fit. This not only helps keep the trousers in place but also adds a stylish touch. On top of that, they are completely waterproof and windproof, making them ideal for any weather condition. Iâve worn them in light rain and blustery winds, and they held up beautifully.Comfort is key, and these trousers deliver on that front as well. The material is soft and breathable, making them perfect for all-day wear. I canât recommend these trousers enoughâthey truly are a game changer!

Great cycling pants, warm, water resistant, comfortable. I have ridden in weather down to 2C and never had cold legs. Have had this pair 2 years and they are still in great shape. I like wearing them for walks and have used underneath warm up pants for ice fishing. Great value for the money. Sizing is accurate. I am buying another pair and these will become my outside walking around and camping pants.

The pants are warm and I would suggest the following for people buying them. Wear a thin legging beneath them to help with sweat wicking. These pants will be good in -15C to -5C. Theyâre made from a durable material and the liner inside is quite thick, but not enough for anything below -15C. Iâm unsure about seam construction but so far so good. I may update this after the winter. Choose a size up so you can wear a shammy short or legging.
