    Great for short hair
I recently tried one of these but the brush head was really too big for my short hair. This one worked like a charm! It was very easy to use on the first try. I think I’m going to love it even more once I really get the hang of it.It added a lot of boost to the roots.Note it does get hot at times so be careful! But honestly they all do.

    Very good product.
I bought this to replace my Dyson air wrap. It works well to straighten my curly hair. It does get extremely hot, so I start with a regular blow dryer on medium and finish with this brush.

A great option for a hair dryer
During the pandemic, I bought the original Revlon One Step Volumizer. It has a 2-1/2″ diameter. It worked very well. But, I got my hair cut shorter, and it really was too big to do a good job on my hair. This one is a smaller diameter. I’ve just used it once, yesterday, and it did the job I expected. It has a powerful fan/motor and dries my hair quickly. Gives it a nice curve. The one thing I don’t care for much is it seems to use the same handle/motor as in the larger brush. That makes this a bit heavy and clumsy. That’s the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. But it’s still workable, IMHO.

    It’s Amazing!
I used to use an iron to straighten my hair for years but it was damaging to my hair. I decided to try this Revlon brush for the first time. I have the bigger barrel one but don’t like it as much. I gave this one a try and omg I love it! Wish I had ordered this years ago. It leaves my hair bouncy and looks like a salon blowout. I highly recommend it and won’t dissapoint you. It takes a few times for you to actually really like it.

    Deafening!
I really wanted to love this dryer, as it is the perfect barrel size and reasonably priced. However, the motor noise is unbearable, and it screeches in my ears. I tried using earplugs, which does work to dampen the noise, but I really shouldn’t have to do this. Also, I agree with other reviews that said the temperature is too hot. I am returning this one and will look for one that has separate temperature and speed settings and doesn’t sound like a banshee. That may be asking too much, but I’m going to keep looking.

Where was this in the 80’ and 90’s
Works great and the only complaint I have is that I should’ve gotten the brush hairdryer sooner. It’s convenient and works well. I have mixed hair type and I have no problems with the heat. I used it on the low setting. When I want a quick blow, I’ll use the high setting. It leaves my hair soft and manageable.

    Great product!
My hair dresser put me on to this brush-hair dryer. I love how it curls my hair as it dries. Shortens my styling time!

    Good, but not perfect
I already had the other Revlon 1-step volumizer and hair dryer brush and was a big fan, but once I cut my hair shorter (it’s now a shoulder-length bob), it didn’t work very well for me anymore. My dream product was an old (cheap!) Babyliss hair dryer brush I bought around 30 years ago on a trip to London; I’ve kept it around because it’s useful for travel in 220-240v countries. It was a great styling tool — had a 1″ barrel size and removable brush top so you could rough dry your hair just using the hot air out of the nozzle before styling it with the blow drying brush. Unfortunately, I dropped and broke it on a recent trip to Peru and so I was motivated to see if I could find a replacement suitable for everyday use in the US. Thought this Revlon 1-step root booster round brush might be the one! And it IS good, but it’s not everything. First, the barrel size is still a little too large at 1.5″; I think a 1″ barrel would be better. Second, it would be great to be able to remove the brush head for a rough dry (and maybe to be able to put on different attachments like a larger or smaller brush barrel or even a metal curling iron attachment, which would be heated by the hot air. Third, this dryer is insanely LOUD. In order to protect my ears, I’ve taken to using earplugs while I use this dryer. I don’t feel the need to do that with any of my other blow dryers. Fourth, as others have noted, it does get extremely hot. The “hi” heat setting is almost unusable unless you want to fry your hair. I use this only on the “lo” heat setting, and then only after a rough dry with another hair dryer, and even the low setting is pretty hot. Lastly, the “cool” setting isn’t very cool, and because the setting switch twists around the bottom of the dryer, it can be a little awkward to change the setting from a heat setting to a cool setting while the brush is in your hair (which is obviously when you’d most like to do it). A “cool shot” button placed further up the barrel would be much more user-friendly.All this said, it’s a pretty decent blow-dry brush for a moderate price. It adds volume and I can finish drying my hair whilst styling it at the same time, which is good. If Revlon were to address all the issues described above, it would be an AMAZING tool (and I would pay more money for it, too)!

This brush is bigger than I expected as it seems smaller in the listing photo, but all these brushes seem to be huge for some reason. The good thing about this brush is that although the handle is large, the brush itself is a sensible usable size. I am replacing an existing hair dryer brush as it is just so big that I have no control when I dry my hair. That is not the case with this brush. The controls are simple to use and I can style my hair as well as drying it using this brush, and I am happy to recommend it.Edit: 22/9 Believe me when I say I am a 5 minute and go hair styler!! and having used this brush regularly for some time now, I can honestly say I get the same results my hairdresser does when she blow dries my hair. I have total control. I section my hair off with clips, dry a clump, chuck it in a velcro roller and by the time I’ve done my whole head and got dressed, I take the rollers out and my hair looks great and I rarely need to use the tongs on my hair so my hair feels in better condition. This has made such a difference to me that I am buying one of these brush dryers for my daughter and daughter in law at Christmas. A real game changer too is using a vented hair brush, I now have a natural static free hair style and I would recommend you get one of those to use with this brush dryer. I doubt you will be disappointed with the results.
