Worth the money
This red camp stove is well built, better than I expected for the price. Made out of quality materials. The setup is quick and easy. I got the smaller one and is great for one or two people for cooking or boiling water. Works well with charcoal. You can even heat a small tarp shelter with this thing for survival. A little on the heavy side but doesnât take up much room for ghb or bob.

I have recently been wanting to go camping again. I havenât been in so long that I did not have any gear which created two issues: 1. Starting at scratch 2. getting to try lots of new things!This was one of those little guilty pleasures. I had to ask myself a question: would I like to have a portable firebox I can use anywhere? Answer: YES.First of all, this stove has some weight to it. It is made out of stainless steel. Which means if youâre an ultralight hiker with an ideal pack weight, go ahead and see yourself out of this review. If you donât care about weight and want to have a fun way to cook; keep reading.Second, this little firebox is well built. I do not have any suspicion of this thing breaking anytime soon.Third, grate turned red hot during the process. Iâm not sure if that was intended, but it was alarming (see pictures). I ran some tests to check integrity and it seems even though the grate gets red hot, it will not bend too severely. If this sound concerning, I would suggest purchasing the grill option instead.Summary:Functional, although a bit heavy, firebox that can support some heavier cooking vessels. Easy to use and easy to clean.

Burns fast and hot
This item was easy to squeeze into my pack. I was able to get a boil off of one load. It Burns very fast and very hot.. Before I could boil the next hot.I’d just have to throw some more twigs.And small wooden to it. But it functions properly no issues. It folds up and puts away easily as well.

I bought the smaller of the two because I am a one pan kind of man and the lighter the better. I read a couple reviews saying that they love the small one and it is more efficient which is probably the case. After using this for every meal for a couple days to feed 4 big dudes including myself, I can say that the littler one of the two is the perfect size. I would recommend going with either the pot holder option, or for the more crafty, the cheapest option for the small one and make a pot holder. I got the pot holder and itâs poorly designed. It slides around a bit and cripples this little beast. Making a little pot holder like the one in my picture allows u to use even bigger pans on it because the flames really lick out around the corners.In summary,Small one is just right.Well designed.Very capable.Pot holder or diy pot holder recomendedBuy the small one. No need for anything bigger. The larger one is not even worth the couple extra bucks or the extra weight of it.My pot holder is made up of four 4âx1â pieces of 1/8â plain steel. The Four pieces are welded together with a 2â square in the center.Once you have the ninja star shape, you lay it onto the stove, mark where the holder-arms line up with the stove, and then grind out a notch 1/16âx1/16â on the holder.Unlike the pot holder that u can get with it, this does not move around.Also, to seal the holder, I heat it up real hot in the fire and then spray some wd-40 on it. I learned the hard way that it makes an indestructible waterproof seal. Like seasoning on cast iron but for non food, high-heat items.

Happy Camper!
After researching many compact wood stoves, I decided on this one! I must say, I am very pleased! The stove comes packed in a nice carry case with ample room for adding a Bic lighter and fire starting material! The metal is heavy duty and decent thickness. It opens up easily and closes the same. The main reason I like this model is due to the cooking surface which offers a flat stable surface! Some of the other models I reviewed had unstable surface or just not large enough to rest a pot on. The first time I used this, I just boiled a 24 Oz cup of water. I gathered a bunch of wood, but to be honest, it only used a few sticks before the water was boiling! It took about 5 minutes, which I thought was very quick! Another benefit to this design is that it blocks the wind as your trying to light the fire! Definitely worth the price and quality! Now there are a few negatives! One is the weight! For me it was fine, but it is a little heavy! If youâre into saving every ounce, this is probably not gonna work for you. But it is sturdy and should last you a long time! For all I have used mine, it shows no metal fatigue or warping! The second thing is the side wood feed. I wish it was a little more vertical so the wood can auto feed into the fire. Iâm sure I could rig something to prop up the wood but would be nice if the next version took this into account! Technically, you should be close enough to the fire and be able to feed the sticks in, especially since it heats really quick, but still an option that I noticed on other similar but pricier stoves! For me, Iâm a happy camper!

I would have given this a higher review if it had not been used. I believe in was used in some way, due to some residue on it. Also, in other reviews it had blue film on it that needed to be taken off. As you see, the blue film had been taken off before I had gotten it. I tried wiping off the residue that’s stuck on it but I was unsuccessful. ð¤·ð¾ââï¸. After assembling it, everything put together well so I hope it performs well for what I purchased it for…guess I’ll find out when I actually use it. ð¤·ð¾ââï¸
