Friskies is a well known brand of cat food. I feel comfortable buying Friskies but some picky eaters don’t love this particular dry food. I didn’t buy this for my indoor cats, however, whom are very picky eaters. I got it to feed three outdoor stays cats who started coming around about 1 year after the worst of the Covid outbreak. Unfortunately, many people got a lot of pets during Covid’s Quarantine period for various reasons and when things began to open again and they weren’t stuck indoors all the time, many people surrendered their pets or let them outdoors and didn’t let them back inside. It breaks my heart to say this but that is the time when I started noticing stray cats showing up so I couldn’t just let them starve. I began feeding them Friskies 5.5oz cans of fillets in gravy and found this dry food, for such a great price and in 16 pound bags with a brand name that I trust so I decided to get it and I alter between their wet and dry food. The outdoor cats still love it and they are no longer going hungry. I did a lot of price and weight comparing and this always came out as the best value. I’m grateful it’s available especially since pet food prices have gone up 50%-80% over the last 4 years.

This isnt the usual food I get my cats, but they are Purina girls. I decided to try this as my older gal has been excessively picky lately. She loves (usually) Purina Friskies Party Mix, and I am so pleased that it includes the required nutrients to be used as food if need be (as does Temptations, But really no other brands). However, I wanted to have something else I could offer her. Pique her interest. My other cat is way less picky. They both seem to like this. They dont dive into it like a handful of Party Mix, but they will nibble on it like their other kibble (usually another Purina product or Iams product).Personally think food dyes are uncessary, seems to be more for people than pets. But Purina is a trusted brand in my esteem, so I figure it is probably fine all told.
