okI’ll be the first to admit that I did not research Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University to any great degree.When I arrived in 1971, I was housed in a relatively new dorm.Construction was everywhere.The doors on the Coliseum were primer orange.It took me 3 months and a couple of football games to figure out that “primer orange” was a school color.Also, there was some deranged individual (in some way associated with the cheerleaders) dressed in some bizarre anthropomorphized critter.I was leaning toward mythological demon – till someone explained that it was supposed to be a turkey.I inquired as to why, with no satisfactory explanation.It was sumthun referred to as a Hokie.A pseudonym adopted by the students.I assume lots of beer was involved.Time marches on… VPI became VPI&SU then Virginia Tech.{Friends will come and go – Enemies accumulate}Ergo, the d@mn turkey remains.As hats/caps go, it’s ok.Sans turkey, possibly better.Paying upwards of 20 bucks for a 3 dollar hat – not exactly cost effective..but, as I mentioned – I’m not in to research.

The cap comes exactly as advertised. I’ve had this hat for over 6 months now and must say that it is quite durable and the colors do not fade. Go Hokies!

This cap looks nice but for me it stops there. The top is too shallow. The size adjustment is ok, it just doesnât come down on my head enough. I should have returned it. Unless you have a flat head, I would NOT suggest buying it!
