Nice beginner shave kit
This shave kit is fairly decent quality. The synthetic leather bag keeps everything organized. I like that there is a cologne oil and a nonsented oil. The shave soap comes in a nice little tin that makes it easy to get a nice shave lather using the shave brush. My favorite part of the kit is the shave brush, it is soft and works up a decent lather using the peppermint shave soap. Many of the accessories are fairly cheap quality, but it’s perfect for a beginner. The aluminum tumbler works better with other shave creams and doesn’t really go with any of the products included, but it is good for holding razors. There’s not a razor or a razor handle included so it is definitely an accessory kit and not a full shaving kit.

Great variety for beginners
My partner is new to having more facial hair and is figuring out a care routine. So far, this little kit has been great for them to experiment with and figure out what they like. It could be better quality but that’s fine since it’s a gift set and probably something you wouldn’t gift to someone with a nice routine down.The items they’ve liked most thus far are the comb, large brush, and unscented beard oil. The scented beard oil has a nice scent but they’ve opted to use that less since they’ve got other cologne. The oil leaves a nice soft feel and hasn’t irritated the skin. I see how the balm would be nice for bushier beards but it’s heavy for them so we’ve avoided it. The brush is nice for cleaning up and exfoliating, while the comb has been good for finishing touches.For shaving, the peppermint was a little harsh on their skin, but they often avoid mint in general as they’re especially sensitive to it. If that’s not the case for you, it did leave a cool clean finish. The foaming brush was fun and useful for this as well. The towel is nice for cleaning up afterward but doesn’t add a whole lot to the kit functionally, just a nice little flair on the gift. Likewise, the funny cup and bag are nice extras but probably won’t be used much in our home.Overall, my partner has enjoyed using this kit and it’s helped them learn some of their preferences with facial hair care. It’s not the highest of quality but it’s a great starting point and seems like it would make a lovely gift.
