This is sturdier, due to the use of an aluminum rod. The reel mounts just like on a fishing rod. What’s nice is the line holder can spin on 2 axes, which eliminates line twist on monofilament line. You can also lock in the holder, so it won’t spin, and only the spool rotates. This thing saves time, and it also can unspool your reel of old line.

Piscifun Speed X Fishing Line Winder upon initial try out worked great installing the new line. It takes a minute or two to sync the speed of the winder with the unwinding of the spool. Well built and easy to assemble. It certainly made spooling reels easier than my standard “all by hand” method. The only thing you have to be aware of is the tension the supply spool is under as it directly relates to how tight the line is on the reel spool. This is not a flaw in the device, it is just something the user needs to be aware of.

No more line twist
This really works I saw it on a YouTube video and I had to go looking for it. It took me a little bit to figure out how to get it exactly to work the way I wanted it, but after that I started feeling my spinning reels up and no line twist. This thing does make a big difference so if you fish like I do when you have multiple rails definitely get this thing it’s worth the money. It’s very light and easy to store, the grip that you hold on to I do this is comfortable and with the adjustment on the on the length easy to do any reel spinning or baitcaster. The fishing line goes on real tight comes off real clean, I would suggest this for any fisherman don’t have to ask my wife anymore.

Okay for Mono, Not Braid
The concept is nice, and if you are spooling your reels for smaller inland fishing with mono, you will probably be fine. But if you are spooling offshore saltwater rigs, I would make my own tensioner for spooling. The Piscifun spooler just isnât durable enough to handle large spools nor is it able to apply enough tension for spooling with braid on any reel. Sure, there are people out there that use it for spooling braid that may not realize the importance of tension when spooling it. Without the proper tension, the braid will bite into itself when spooling off the reel during casting or fighting fish, affecting the reel performance. Those are the reasons I canât give it 5 stars, but I gave it 3 stars because itâs a nice concept and will work for smaller mono or fluorocarbon lines.

Superb functionality for those who use fly reels. Rigging backing or fly lines. Great for both removing lines and for putting lines on the reel. For the price, it is sturdy and well made. Highly recommended.To the manufacture, I’d suggest configuring the handle nut so that it screws on/off more efficiently. A small thing but after rigging my 11th reel this fall, that screw-on, screw-off step started to annoy me.Otherwise a great time-saving product that renders professional results…

I bought this after buying a different make that was useless. this feels better quality and despite being tricky to tighten, i figured out and it worked a treat. i added 15lb line on my sons reel and we went fishing no issues at all.its great to have as can save time and effort spooling line on to reel and unlike previous liner spooler you can take line off by reversing the process.It’s defo value for money as feel solid and compact enough to take on fishing trips.
