It is ionic so it never gets hot when it touches your scalp & heats up very quickly & you can set it to whatever temperature you want it at but I always use it at the max temperature of 430, because I find it curls my hair the best at that temperature! It works best on dry hair & not wet hair!

I like this curling iron. The 1 inch barrel is a good size, not too big, not too small. It is a good weight. The barrel heats up, but I am not afraid of getting burned if I get close to the barrel. Itâs a good looking tool and handles well.
