Product controller for my bulldogs to be Active but safety
This GPS wireless dog fence exceeded my expectations in terms of functionality and ease of use. Setting it up was straightforward; no complicated installations or digging. The GPS tracking is impressiveâitâs incredibly responsive, ensuring my dog stays within the designated area. The device allows real-time location updates, which gives me peace of mind knowing my dog is safe while playing outdoors. Itâs a reliable solution for pet owners without needing physical barriers. One standout feature is the alarm system that activates when your dog nears or breaches the set boundary. Itâs gentle yet effective, with vibrations and sound warnings that worked well for my dog. The gradual increase in intensity gives pets time to retreat before an electric correction occurs, making it a safer alternative for training purposes. The build quality of the device is also top-notch, and it seems durable enough to handle outdoor conditions. What I appreciate most is the portability. Itâs a fantastic solution for trips or outdoor activities where a temporary boundary is needed. The GPS range is generous, and I found it perfect for use in my large backyard, offering plenty of flexibility in how much space I can give my dog. Additionally, the battery life held up well during extended use, and recharging was quick and simple. This product brings together reliable GPS tracking, easy setup, and portability, making it a perfect choice for pet owners looking for a flexible, effective boundary solution. Iâm happy with how well it performs in keeping my dog within a safe range without the need for cumbersome fences or installations.have had the Halo Collar for my 2 large dogs about 6 months now. We live rural and on land but our home is close to the highway. Previous to the collars my dogs would sometimes run into the highway or try to jump at anyone walking by, cyclist included. It was dangerous. A couple things to note: my property is not heavily treed. I do see some people struggle with gps signal in heavily treed areas. I also have to turn the fence off when my dogs come inside because the house can mess with the gps signal causing correction indoors. If you are able to remember to open the app and do that, itâs totally preventable though. My dogs currently have more freedom than they have ever had and are so much happier because they can spend more time outdoors. Itâs really given them what feels like free range on our property. The Spot On GPS collar has been an absolute game changer for us! This is actually our second collar we have ordered (we loved the first one so much, we decided to buy another one for our OTHER dog). We ordered our first one last year and canât say enough good things about it. It honestly shocks me reading some of the negative reviews on here, because that has not been our experience at all (or other people we know that have these collars). We have a farm on a busy road, and a LGD (Livestock Guardian Dog). We were struggling to find an affordable solution to keep our dog on our property, away from the road and visitors, while still allowing him the freedom to do his job (keeping our animals safe from predators). We needed a system that could encompass several acres of hay fields, pastures, forest and a deep ravine, that was reliable in any weather, could go around obstacles easily (buildings, driveways, trees, etc), and was affordable. We looked at different options, did lots of research and settled on the Spot On collar. While initially the price seemed high, when we compared the features it offered, the reviews from people we knew and trusted, and the benefits it gave us, versus what another system could do and would cost us, we decided it was actually reasonably priced, and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made for our farm! PROS: -I ordered it off of Amazon and it arrived the very next day! -Set up was simple, the mobile app is convenient and user friendly; -It works great on large dogs (we have a Great Pyrenees with a thick neck and a long coat of hair – we just separate the hair to make sure the prongs are making contact, and it works perfectly, and comes with two lengths of prongs to use – depending on your dog’s hair length); – The collar is adjustable, and durable (it has been through the ringer with our LGD – soaked in water from rain or snow, been in freezing temps because our dog is outside all day, and has stayed securely on, even when he is wrestling with our other dog that always goes for his neck, or when heâs running through dense brush after a predator); -It was so fast to train our dog on – took us only two days (one 20 minute session each day); -He never gets shocked because he has a multi-stage warning system the closer he gets to the boundary line (first a noise, then a vibration, last is the shock); -When I change fence boundaries, I donât have to retrain him because he has such a large distance of warning before he ever approaches the shock point, so he automatically knows where the new line is; -We never have to worry about weather impacting the collar in our Canadian winter (a buried Invisible Electric Fence can cut out once snow gets deep, and is susceptible to damage from rodents chewing through the lines); -I can have multiple fences set up (saved in a library for fast access) and change the boundaries as many times as I want – invaluable to farmers with changing pastures or locations they need their dogs in; -The collar has worked perfectly and precisely for us (and weâve had our first one for a long time now), even during blizzards, freezing temps, when our dog has been in our metal-roofed barn, the thick forest or at the bottom of our deep tree-covered ravine (we don’t usually have good service for phones or internet in this area, but the Spot On collar has always had fantastic service no matter where our dog is); -It has real-time tracking available – we can see where our LGD is at all times using the app on my phone, and I can pull up a report of where he has been to monitor where our heaviest predator loads are trying to access our property from; -The fence is attached to the collar, so if we move, it goes with us – we never need to buy a fence again (this includes being able to use it for short trips to a cottage, family memberâs house, vacation spot⦠we can set up a fence in seconds in whatever location we are in); -FAVOURITE FEATURE: Keep Out Zones – Best feature for farmers with LGDâs!!! I can have areas blocked off when I need it (the chicken coop, a pond or pool, the compost pile, the manure pile, the barn when the farrier or vet comes, an area when a customer comes to pick something up, etc). This came in so handy when we were building a coop and I wanted him to stay out of the way⦠3 seconds and it was activated. When we were done, I just removed it. THIS FEATURE IS LITERALLY GENIUS! -It has multiple levels of static correction we can choose from, so we can tailor it to our individual dogs. -Long battery life each day (essential for a LGD) – we take his collar off each night to charge it (and during the day I can monitor in real-time how much battery life is left so we never get caught with a low battery level); -I have peace of mind knowing I will be notified immediately if he breaches the line to go after a predator, and I will also have an exact GPS location so we can find him if he is injured and can’t return on his own. This is literally a LIFE-SAVING FEATURE for an LGD (or any dog really). -Spot On had excellent customer service when I called with a question and they were extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. CONS: -We initially thought the price was a con, but this system blows other cheaper systems out of the water with the features it offers, and it covers up to 1000 acres, so we could never install a wire fence or underground electric fence for anywhere close to the cost of this collar – which really makes it a PRO; -If you have an LGD that is outside 24/7 (ours goes in the barn for a few hours each night), it would be nice to have two collars so you could switch them out while charging the one (still cheaper than alternatives and worth it in my opinion for what this collar gives you); -You need to buy a collar for each dog (that said, even buying a collar for all of our dogs will still be cheaper than installing an underground fence for a large area, and it can travel with us wherever we go).I used to have to keep a close eye on him as there’s other buildings / people around regularly. Now I have fences in those areas (with the halo 3) and I honestly don’t even worry about him at all, he roams and finds his boundaries and stays within them. Now I’ll be honest, there’s a lot of “training” with this collar that I completely skipped, since my dog is fairly smart and I already know his limits. It says it can take up to 3 weeks for your dog to master the training, and instead I just went right to the real world and he learned in about an hour. That being said he’s already almost a year old so may be completely different for other users . This collar has completely changed many things for me. I can leave him outside alone without worry (I live on a busy street with many kids that walk it , it’s a school zone.) When I bring him to my garage, he can roam the property ( that I have “fenced” in , while I work and I don’t have to constantly watch him or calll for him. There’s only 2 downfalls… 1 – battery lasts 20-24 hours and has a special charger, so don’t expect to charge on the road . Must be charged every night or between uses. 2 – if leaving a “fenced” area with the dog you HAVE to turn off the fence or remove the collar. It doesn’t take into account that the dog is 4′ off the ground in your truck , it only knows that he passed the “line”. If you don’t leave the area much it wouldn’t be a factor

Inaccurate GPS shocked my dog continuously in my house
Easy setup. Theoretically can create a fence when camping, at the in-laws, etc. I set it up for our familyâs camp. The gps map showed my dog was about half the property away (100â) from where she was right next to me. There were a lot of trees, so I wasnât terribly disappointed. I walked the collar around the perimeter and it seemed to work 75% or the time. Not greatâ¦I later brought it home and set up a virtual fence around our ~1 acre yard. Didnât work at all. It showed the collar across the road while I was holding it in my hand inside my house setting up the virtual fence. I figured maybe the roof is affecting this. I take it out to the middle of the front yard- no change. A few hours later it appears to be working within 25â or so. Good enough I think⦠a couple days later weâre letting our dogs inside the house and the collar starts to shock my dog (continuously). Sheâs bucking around while my wife and I are trying to wrangle her and pull the collar off. A week later we try again. Doggo is sitting on the couch with the kids watching cartoons when the collar starts shocking her continuously (again). We get it off and I check the gps location and it shows the collar two houses downâ¦. I called customer service and they said sometimes the gps system suddenly loses signal and puts the location at a generic point (like 00000x/0000y), then when it reconnects itâll default to the centroid of the active fence and not move until the whole system is reset. While that info was cool to know it doesnât keep my dog safe.Pretty worthless. 550 dollars and 100 for a yearly subscription. Maybe I got a dud, but I donât recommend.

Just what we needed!
My wife’s family has a cottage in Michigan and my dog loves to run free but I worry about her wandering too much when she’s out of my sight. In comes the PetSafe Collar! Itâs been great for my dog Allee. The GPS tracking is accurate and it gives me the peace of mind to let her explore outside and know where she is in real-time. Setting up the wireless boundary was easy and the adjustable zones allow us to bring her many different places without worry. The collar fits well & seems comfortable for her. I especially like that I can control the correction type – she’s an old dog who learns quickly so she responds easily to the more mild settings (the instructions are helpful in learning how to teach them the boundaries).Overall, this collar gives me peace of mind and lets Allee roam safely. If youâre looking for a reliable, easy-to-use wireless fence, Iâd definitely recommend giving this a try.
