It works great. The programming is a little tricky but the directions help. I use it for small dog food a few times a day. Have had it for 6 months with no issues.

Very Reliable
The device is very reliable. However if you bump into it extra food will fall out. My cat is incredibly greedy and figured this out after trying to chew the lid off. You can see in the photo that there is a heavy brass lamp sitting on top. That stops my greed cat from knocking food out.10/10 would recommend. Easy to figure out, holds several weeks worth of food and works consistently.

Does what it’s supposed to do
There are times that it glitches and it won’t let me change the settings when I need to set the time or something but I can very easily tip it and shut it off with the large easy to locate switch underneath it. When I switch it back on everything is how it was left as it’s supposed to be… I can even relocate it and all of the settings remain the same. The time needs to be reset but the portions are how they were before being unplugged and the time of the feeds. This is important because setting the time takes very little time to do while setting those things takes quite a bit of time.All around were very happy with these.I’m still not certain the dog understands I’m not filling the bowls anymore…

Mine did not work from supplied power supply, but worked on battery, repair required
So the power supply and cord that came with my feeder worked fine. But inside the feeder the power port was not soldered on the pins. The connector was firmly attached to the board, but the copper pads for the connector pins were not soldered, the pads were bare copper and there was a gap between the pins and the board. I flowed some solder across the pins, then spent the next half hour cleaning the resulting shorted connections. Soldering the individual pins was not possible with my iron, and I didn’t have an SMD rework station, so applied solder until the copper pads were wetted, then used a solder sucker to reduce the solder volume until surface tension caused the shorted pins to self correct. I have solder paste and a heat gun, but I didn’t want to disassemble the unit to allow me to pull the board out, and it had a lot of hot glue that would have melted into the connectors, and I didn’t want to have to clean THAT up.But the upshot is I repaired the connector successfully.Here is the deal, the batteries are only for a backup, so running off the batteries isn’t going to work when I go on vacation. Furthermore, if the unit stops working while I’m 1000 miles away, that is the definition of a bad thing. So not only did I make sure it worked, I made sure it was drawing power from the correct source.I’m an engineer, and I design hands-off automation systems, so I value remote monitoring and control, as well as redundancy. I could have used a gravity feeder, but my cats tell me the food isn’t fresh from a gravity feeder. This unit has no remote control capability, so buying a different model with wifi support as a backup made a lot of sense, so I bought a PAPIFEED 5G WiFi Automatic Cat Food Dispenser for the backup. The Papifeed uses the smartlife app which I already had on my phone which I already have a number of ifttt automations running through, so I have a positive experience with the app already.Once I have some experience with the papifeed, I will post a review of it. I got the 5g wifi version because I was already aware of problems people have mixing 2.4g appliances on 5g networks, and while I know how to solve that issue, it is a better plan to get the 5g radio as the 2.4g radio will end up being the reason things stop working. Obviously I use multiple modes of monitoring, including a Yi brand pan/tilt camera, and alerts for sounds, motion, and other methods. One of the houses I monitor has ISP issues, so I even put in a Cisco dual-wan router and two /different/ ISP connections, and I haven non-wifi power control as well as wifi power control, so I can reboot anything that doesn’t have a built-in battery backup, I can even reboot the ISP modems and the Cisco router. The only thing I don’t have is remote hands.

I bought this for my dog and it works great maybe a little bit of a Learning curve for the set up, but other than that, I have no complaints works great price is right I would buy again.

I bought this back in 2022. I’ve given it a lot of time, and ultimately there’s one VERY big issue (with my unit at least) that’s made me feel thr need to write this review.The good, and there is A LOT of good. This thing is super easy to set up and it works. It’s reliable. When food gets low, the light on the front turns to a pulsating red light to let you know it’s time to refill.It mostly dispenses on time. What I mean is the clock runs a little slow and after awhile ends up about 15 minutes behind. Not a huge issue as it really only needs correcting once or twice a year.Another plus is the unit has a backup battery, so if you, like me, lose power often, it’ll continue to work.Set up is incredibly simplistic and the front panel is very easy to use. You can set multiple feed times as well as portion sizes. The lid latches shut to keep the cat from getting into the thing even if knocked over.Onto the one glaring issue I have with this item as it’s been very frustrating. The unit is very sensitive. It doesn’t take much to make this thing dispense. You can practically sneeze at it and food will fall out. My cats endlessly digs and bops at this thing to continuously make food come out. If I adjust the unit even a little bit, food dispenses.This brand is recommended all over the place as having tamper proof auto-feeders. However, my unit at the very least, is anything but. This thing would be a 5 star were it not for that problem.

My pup and I LOVE this!
This dispenser has kept my pup on a regular eating schedule. I love that I can program my voice. If I happen to be away, he still has that audio connection to me and doesnât have to wait for me to get back to feed him. I also appreciate the lock on top – he has tried unsuccessfully to get in the reservoir – but has been successful at getting a few extra bites I when he jars it hard enough!
