Great product
I used this product during the winter time to make sure the water stayed fresh for my chickens. It was the perfect temperature and stayed unfrozen throughout 0° weather. Price for the item was well worth it very well made and easy to clean..

Works Great in Extreme Cold
I ordered one of these to provide drinking water for the birds, squirrels, and other critters in my backyard during the winter. The first one I ordered was defective, but Amazon sent me a replacement quickly. The second one works great, even in extreme cold. The coldest it’s gotten since I’ve had it is -6 and aside from a little frost around the edges, it kept the water unfrozen.

Works well…with one minor issue
This auto fill heated dog bowl significantly reduces the hassle associated with feeding for us…the dry food isn’t an issue but carrying a full water bowl sloshing through the house definitely was. The shutoff valve works well against 55lb of water pressure, and the heater actually keeps the water lukewarm – there’s no danger at all of the water freezing as long as it has electricity. The minor issue I’ve noted is that there appears to be some manufacturing residue left over, in the form of tiny black plastic particles that settle in the bottom of the bowl after each fill. It almost appears like charcoal. I’ve tried to flush the line with limited success, so I’ll wait and observe. Our dog is a farm dog that will drink scummy pond water, so we’re not too concerned that the particles will be harmful…but I included the information for those that may have concerns. Docked one star for that only. Otherwise works well and our furry family member is happy with it!

Durable & Comforting!
We live well over 7,000 ft above sea level in the pines and we get lots of snow and cold temperatures. Bought one in January of 2022 and it is almost 2025 now. Good Quality and brings my skittish stray mouser cat under the house some comfort in the cold months (don’t worry, the underside of the house is well insulated and she has a heated bed and cat doors to the woods beyond). This bowl does not just keep water from freezing, it warms the water up to 105 F and that is the difference for my Fine Fuzzy Friend between sipping ice water from the 40 degree fridge and a warm cuppa tea! This is not just Creature Comfort, it helps to keep her hydrated in the dry winter months because the comforting warmth encourages her to drink water. The little Light Up Rocker Switch at the top of the bowl shows when it is on and is easy to shut off when the weather warms up. I do keep mine stored in the garage over the summer months (easy to clean with vinegar and sponge) and since I bought it almost 3 years ago, I have had no problems with it working as designed each winter. You will need to keep an eye on the water level as the added warmth seems to contribute to more rapid evaporation than a bowl that just keeps the water above freezing, or perhaps my kitty is just drinking that much more because it is that much more pleasant! Very Heavy Duty, I like that the thick durable cord is entirely encased in a coil of steel and it has a good three prong plug that is nicely grounded. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Leaves a gross film in water
I donât know if itâs the combination of heat and the plastic they used, but it leaves a gross film on the water. It doesnât matter how many times I empty the bowl and clean it. The film is always there the next day.

This thing takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Used for a few seasons so far in the Yukon. Keeps our 2 outdoor dogs hydrated down to -40 C. Our younger dog chewed the button cover off ( it was kind of rubbery and maybe looked fin to chew?) but it still works. It will evaporate the water at cold temps (-20 C or colder) so be sure to refill regularly (3 x day, 2 was not enough for us and it would be dry by night- but we have 1 bowl serving 2 dogs.

Used for birds and other small animals that come to my deck in the winter time. Water seems to be a bit on the warm side but the animals seem to not mind.

My dogs actually hate the warm water – I’ve rarely seen either of them drink from it, they prefer to eat snow apparently. But the birdies absolutely love it. 10/10 would buy again. endless entertainment. but make sure to sanitize it — i would think that because the water is just warm, it’s probably a bacteria breeding ground. I sanitize mine a couple times a week.

I bought this for use with my chickens. I made a plywood lid that i bungee around to hold in place with a 3 inch hole drilled in it for them to access the water. Its an extreme cold snap with temps colder than -40 C and this bowl has not froze yet.I don’t like that it has an on/off switch on the top. Next time I will buy one that is constantly on (no switch) The chickens often step on that and I have to check its working. I do like the switch as a light so you know its working. I should have paid more attention to the size as this doesn’t hold a large volume and while it works, I have to refill it more than I would like. Its a small bowl, still smaller than I thought once received.

This thing worked fine , no issues for 3 months, very happy with the product and then it stopped working. I took good care of it and did nothing different with it for 3 months. One day it started to make some ‘ticking’ noise and has never stopped. I would have given this a 5 star rating across the board but then,… Now what do I do, is there a warranty? I cant find anything of a warranty, bummer
