The PetFusion Ultimate Cat Scratcher Lounge Was A Big Hit!
I read several reviews on this “Pet Fusion Cat Scratcher Lounge” before I ordered it. The reviews were informative, helpful and positive so I ordered it. Before I put the catnip on the corrugated top, I put it on my kitchen table. My curious (read nosey) cat honed in on it immediately to try to open the packet. As soon as I put it on the top of the lounge, he jumped on top in record time! The catnip was a big hit, an unexpected bonus. Not only did he love the catnip, he loved the Lounge as well. He lies on top of it in Sphinx Pose (a cat Yoga pose) while he supervises & guards his territory, while looking out the window to our backyard. I don’t find the bits of cardboard that land on the wood floor to be a problem. Prior to the Pet Fusion Lounge, he loved to scratch on foam squares that are used to interlock together. The mess from the foam was so much worse than the bits of cardboard from this Lounge. I can’t speak to it’s durability yet since I’ve only had it a few weeks, but I read reviews on the knock off brand I almost purchased and they were not good. I didn’t realize it was a knock off version until I looked closely at the description. Reviewers consistently claimed their Cat Lounge was falling apart in 1 month, whereas several Pet Fusion’s Cat Lounge Reviewers stated theirs was still standing at the 3 yr mark. That was all I needed to reassure me this brand was the only one I would purchase. My cat, Joxer & I are very happy with my purchase. Stay tuned for an update on it’s longevity. I highly recommend this Pet Fusion Cat Scratch Lounge as an excellent dual duty necessity if anyone has indoor cats. It’s esthetically pleasing to the eye, lightweight, well made and popular in this cat household.

I still have the one bought couple of years ago (although pretty shredded) and kitties still get their scratch on! Sooo I wanted something for another area of my living space and of course…they love! Rather than get a bunch of small, cheap scratchers that fall apart quickly…this is a nice, solid choice because when one side is pretty “cooked”, it can be turned over for a brand new surface. Kitties love to lounge and love that they can stretch their bodies while scratching (3 cats and one is really BIG) because it is a really nice size. Best cat recreation investment!

and it’s so much better than the cheaper versions we’ve been getting from the local pet stores that are smaller. They aren’t the same shape, but are curved. You could turn them over to be “reversible”. But it’s not comfortable for them to lay on as it was in the upright position. The old ones also wore out so quickly with little cardboard bits all over the house. Especially in our female cat’s, Elise’s, longer fur or tail if she’s not been groomed short to a “lion’s cut”. The cardboard bits were a nightmare. In our bed, all over everything! She they drove her nuts when she was bathing, trying to spit them out.This is a much larger piece (we had two of the old ones pushed together before), the cardboard seems to be of a much better quality. I just love the shape and the fact that we can just flip it over as it wears out. I loved the little care tip it gave about using a comb for loose cardboard and my kitties IMMEDIATELY jumped on it and started scratching on it. And our male, Darth Tader, fell asleep promptly after his session. Much to the disappointment of his momma! Lol… They fit perfectly on it and it’s large, but fits just fine where we had the old ones.I originally saw this on My Cat From Hell I’ve have been searching for it, since. I’m so glad I finally thought to check Amazon!Certainly worth the price seeing how much my fur babies love and enjoy it! I’m looking forward to seeing how it fairs over time. Especially with Tader’s “talons” lol he’s gentle. No biting, scratching, hissing or anything . But he has some major, curved claws that I try to trim. I tried training him since he was quite young, since he was born here. But I slacked off. He is patient, sometimes, though. But this new scratcher/recliner is his new favorite spot when he’s not snuggling or in a window.We highly recommend this! I still plan to update if we have any issues whatsoever in the future!***It’s now July 15th, about 3 months after I purchased this scratcher. It literally shows barely any use! Then last week, while my older sister came to visit from out of state, she cleaned the carpets. Neither myself nor my dad (who I live with in his condo) are physically capable to do such work. She came out to see my dad since he’ll be going onto dialysis within the year and we’ve not seen her since ’08.Anyway, she had tilted the scratcher at an angle against a pedestal scratcher/lounger covered in carpet to kind of move it out of the way. Oh boy! Kitty chaise lounge! We’ve moved it’s location, but left it at that angle and they’re loving the extra stretches they get at that angle, they sleep on it and even when awake will lay on it and watch what’s going on, but with their bums in the air! LolI’m still VERY impressed by the durability of it. The very, very little cardboard shedding and the all around joy my two fur babies get out of it. By now, the old cardboard scratchers I used to buy would be in very poor shape and cardboard would be everywhere, driving us insane. We’d have to smack them to get all the cardboard bits out and there’d still be tons the cats would track around. You’d get out of the shower and you’d have it stick to your feet. Even though you could’ve sworn you didn’t see any. Worse than walking with wet feet in front of a litter box. Plus they’d already have major dents in them from favorite scratching positions and spots. I’d be thinking it was time to buy new ones. So this one is already on the way to paying for itself!I couldn’t resist a happy update! I’ll take pics and post them as soon as I remember to. I am a month out from a fourth major back surgery and still my medication for pain makes my brain a bit “mushy”. But there’s no confusion with this product! I’m even looking at more, once I can save enough. 🙂 they love to dive into the little holes. So I’m looking for one that has a larger space inside. Like a hidey hole. I think they’ll love that! I also want to put up shelves for them on the walls, leading up to where they already get up to, above the cabinets on top of a wall. It’s open from above the cabinets to the ceiling and they even can cross this little part where we walk under to get from the living room to the kitchen/dining room. It’s “their area”! I thought about putting a scratcher on the entertainment center, where they hop to from that wall, as well.I’m very glad I bought this! So are Elise and Darth Tader!**

Ich schreib nun nach einer Testphase von 8 Jahren! diese Rezension. Nach 8 Jahren ist er nun so zerlegt, dass die Pappfetzen im Haus verteilt werden. Bei anderen Kratzmöbeln passiert das schon nach 4 Wochen. Ich habe damals 59,90 Euro bezahlt. Eine stattliche Summe für Pappe aber der Lebensdauer hat sie sich amortisiert. Heute soll das gute Stück 84 Euro kosten. Sicher, alles wird teurer, leider aber nicht jeder Geldbeutel wächst mit. Die Lounge ist super für große Katzen (meine ist eine norwegische Waldkatze) und sieht edel aus. Leider gibt es sie derzeit nicht in meiner gewünschten Farbe und wie schon erwähnt kann mein Geldbeutel da auch nicht mehr mithalten. Ich habe mich somit für ein Produkt mit etwas niedrigen Preis entschieden und hoffe das es auch eine gewisse Zeit hält. Ansonsten TOP!!!! ….wer den Geldbeutel hat wirklich empfehlenswert!!!
