And she picked immensely at it again later. I say it’s a win. Was easy to assemble. Did not smell of chemicals. Did not fall over while Cat was picking at it. Heavier bottom than most. Definitely tall enough. Cat didn’t care for ball first day.. but she is a adult cat. The rope seems to be on very sturdy.Buying another for my other cat.

My cat destroys the ball immediately and we use the post for about 6 months before it’s mostly destroyed. We get a little extra life out of it by taking the bottom post and flipping it. I wish we could do the top that way but it’s glued on. Overall my cat goes only to this and ignores everything else so I feel it’s doing it’s job. I like how tall it is for her to stretch but doesn’t take up a lot of space. I’ll probably be buying 2 a year for years at this point.

UPDATE: itâs nearly march of 2024 and Iâve had this item since September 2023. It has finally broken. My cats usually break things within a month so this was definitely a great buy.Most of these scratching posts I purchase tend to fall over easily, but this one has additional boards you secure at the base that seem to combat this! Also has a great height.
