The best one Iâve ever purchased!
This is the one. I have purchased many of these in my lifetime of cat ownership and they have all gone into the Goodwill box or in the trash simply because all of them needed the catâs weight to activate the warmth (they call it âfor safetyâ and âenergy savingâ). But hereâs the dealâwhy would any cat choose a random place to lay that isnât warm vs MY LAP that already IS warm? Theyâre not able to understand that it WILL come on! They are seeking warmth now! Usually you cannot tell by packaging or information that itâs the type I describe above. So this was my final attempt at ordering one. It STAYS ON!! And the temp is completely appropriate and safe! The material is so soft and pretty. Hereâs the other dealâI ordered this at the end of my rope with a Velcro cat. She MUST be touching me 24/7 (I work from home too). I love her, but ISSA LOT. She sleeps all night with me and she follows me every morning to the kitchen and then the couch and then the office. I wanted this to be a place where she could just relax on her own. And the pictures will show the miracle. Sheâs in HER OWN ROOM while Iâm in the living room (ALONE)! In the year Iâve had her, this has never happened. Not even when I keep the heated throw turned on in the bed. Never not once. As soon as this mat warmed up and she found it, she hasnât left that spot (one hour). Great for multiple small dogs!
I have 3 small pups like get cold in the winter. They like to sleep near each other and my old pet heating pad was too small for all of them to fit, so they were always squabbling over who got to lay on it. Now, they can all lay next to each other and feel the warmth! Works perfectly!

Does not get as warm as expected
Good size for the little house i made out of a tote for stray cats. Could have a longer cord but good design so it can’t get damaged. Warms it pretty well until it drops below 35 or 40 degrees. Wish it got warmer but you get what u pay for I suppose.

We put this in our ducks house to help keep them warm this winter. So far it works great! It is under the straw in their house and gets just hot enough to keep them warm and keep their water from freezing.

Nice and cozy warm
I made my own feral cat nest using a rubbermaid type storage container with lid. Got a pack of 1″ sheets of insulation (about 6′ long each) at Lowes. I lined top (lid), bottom and side with insulation sheets. I cut a oblong hole in the bottom front the the cats to go in and out. I cut out a small hole in the back corner so I could plug in the heated mat. I used duck tape to attach the lid firmly. Nice and toasty! I’ve seen one of the kitten walk in and out. Hope the 3 of them have the brains to use it during bitter weather.

This thing is terrible. No remote. Hardly warm.
There is no remote to turn this on/off, or adjust temperature and it is barely warm. My pets wont don’t even use it, because they can’t tell the difference between the regular temperature and this thing being on….buyers remorse, big time.

Keeps my outside cat warm and cozy!I purchased this one to replace her old one. It fits perfectly in her âcat condoâ (which I also bought on Amazon).The cord seems to be extremely durable. Her house is under the awning so it is not going to get rained, etc on nor is it directly going to get wet. I like that the cord & its cover is metal and not some sort of cheap plastic.The only thing that I did not like is that itâs not really soft & thick. I am going to fold the blanket you see in the pictures and put under it.
