Brought peace of mind
So happy I purchased this. I was uncertain at first because I keep reading that it throws several false alarms. So far we haven’t had any and it’s allowed me to get what little sleep I can. I clean the sensors every couple nights with an alcohol pad to insure good connection and reads. My only complaint is I wish the app would allow us to set our own alarm parameters, the presets are a little too low for my liking and I feel like we should be alerted before levels reach dire. Due to that I’ve chosen to pair it with a secondary device that monitors breathing motion and body temp. The battery life is OK. 13 hours seems like a lot but when it takes 3 or 4 for baby to stay down and you want that nap after morning feed, you may be down to only an hour or so.The app is easy to use and easy to read. I appreciate that it comes with a sized up sock and not used as a means of second purchase. The only downfall I’ve come across is its reliance on internet, so if your connection is spotty or weak it may not be the best product for you.*** PLEASE be smart and follow safe sleep guidelines even with this device. It’s helps with the newborn anxiety but is in no way a preventative measure and should not be leaned on as such. Do not allow yourself to fall into the “well the alarm will go off if baby gets the blanket over their face” mindset. This device and safe sleep standards are to be used in unison with each other and one is not to be negated because of the other. ***

Makes a loud beeping sound
Itâs kinda pricey but I gave it a shot if itâs worth buying. I would say has been very helpful for us. Itâs pretty accurate when it start detecting anomaly from your baby. It makes a loud beeping sound to alert you something is wrong with your baby. Battery life last for a long while. Easy to use and works great so far. Make sure the base for the owlet is nearby to avoid any interference.

Gave us a peace of mind!
LOVE this sock. I will be using it for all of my children. It is very accurate in giving my babyâs heart rate and oxygen level. The light from the sock is not too bright where it would wake your baby up or light up the room. It has 2 different socks >12lbs and <12lbs and an adjustable strap so it fits pretty well. It functions great although there was a couple times where it gave us a scare alerting us that her oxygen rate was low. (It wasnât, sheâd managed to kick her sock off). This sock connects to your phone too so you can monitor your baby without constantly risking waking him/her up and checking their breathing. Iâd recommend this to any mom with a newborn. It gave us a little bit of a relief from SIDS scare.

Save your money
As first-time parents, we purchased the Owlet for peace of mind. However, we’ve run into so many issues with its basic functionality that I have zero confidence it would actually alert us to a problem if our son stopped breathing. The problems began immediately during initial setup: no matter how many times I tried, my iPhone could not successfully complete the base station WiFi setup process. It kept failing without providing any kind of useful error message to explain why. The troubleshooting steps on Owlet’s website are useless. Fortunately, it eventually worked using my wife’s iPhone.Over the past 3 months, we’ve put the Owlet on our son every night. Despite following the directions and correctly placing it on his foot, it has alerted and woken us up dozens of times for failing to collect readings. Most of the time, our son is just wiggling a normal amount for an infant. Rocking him to sleep also sets it off.If either of us forgets to take the Owlet off before taking him out of the bedroom, it also alerts because the signal between the sock and the base station can’t even penetrate through one wall. If you take the sock more than ~15 feet from the base station, the alarm goes off. My wife and I have each woken each other up forgetting to take the Owlet off before taking our son out of the room for a night feeding. This is an unreasonably short range for a wireless device in the year 2024.What I’ve described above is the Owlet’s functionality that works *best*. The iPhone app almost never works. Even when he’s wearing the sock and the base station is glowing green, the app 90% of the time says that either the base station is not connected to the WiFi, or there is no sleep session going on. Want to know when your kid is in light sleep so you can wake them for a feed? Forget about it.Another time, the app showed that our son’s O2 level was as low as 80% during the previous night’s sleep session, which, if accurate, is a life-threatening emergency. The Owlet was silent. Our son is fine and I’m skeptical that the reading was correct, but if the Owlet thought his O2 was that low, the alarm should have been blaring, and we should have been calling an ambulance. To summarize: the Owlet will alert you when there is no problem, and it will stay silent when there could be a life-threatening emergency. The app fails more often than it works. Spend your $300 on something else. I wish we had.

Peace of mind is priceless!
I have been using the Owlet sock for almost 3 months now. We have only had a âfalseâ alert one time and thankfully, it was when it was on charge. This is definitely worth the money! As someone who has really bad anxiety, this gives me the ability to breathe and feel more secure. He wears the sock every night and doesnât have any irritation. I love this and would purchase again! The only âconâ that I have discovered is that sometimes, it disconnects from the internet but thatâs an easy fix!

Excellent monitoring with some downsides
Originally I bought it to monitor my baby sleep , but due to some circumstances we used it 24/7 the first month. Good monitoring during sleep period, but when she is awake the monitor doesnât handle well that she is moving her feet.Pros:- good battery life, around 12 hours in full charge.- monitor works without need to be in the same WiFi from home, that gives calm if I need to be out.- the on the road feature, probably wonât show the exact heart / o2 rate, but alert if she is in lower hear / o2 rate.Cons:- expensive, not for everyone pocket.- if baby feetâs are cold , takes a while to give proper readings.- the alerts are not customizable to specif O2 ratios. That will be nice to a better monitoringWell.- hard to clean, socket and monitor are not the easiest to do a quick clean when need it.

For the price I’m not sure it’s the best bang for your buck but it does provide peace of mind. We noticed our baby’s S02 levels would sometimes read low then spike but looks like the reading might be faulty. Nice to track baby’s sleep and to see when he’s waking or being fussy. Often the app is quicker than our baby monitor in alerting us.

I bought it to use in Singapore only to know the dream app is not available outside us. Wasted my time n $$. Asking for return now.
