Peace of Mind
I love this product! I am so grateful for this! At night or during nap time, it lets me be able to have peace of mind without having to check on baby all the time. My only complaint about this is that it connects to wifi so if the connection is down or you don’t have wifi, it is hard to use. But overall, we love this and are so very grateful we got it

Best thing weâve bought!
This is the best purchase weâve made for our baby. It gives so much peace of mind knowing our baby has a little extra monitoring. Itâs great quality, been using everyday for 7 months and no complains. The foot cover charges pretty fast, and still stays charged for 12+ hours.

Absolutely worthless
I was very excited to order this monitor based on the safety features and being able to track my sonâs vitals. However, I am BEYOND irritated with this product. It is constantly disconnecting from the WiFi and freezing. Then out of nowhere, it will completely forget your WiFi all together, and you have to go through the syncing process all over again, which is not easy and took me 40 MINUTES after it kept failing to connect. By the time I got it to work and was able to leave the room, my son woke up. The sock wonât read until your baby is 1 month old for one, and 2, if they move at all in their sleep, it will disconnect and then the base station will alarm. The video monitor is ALWAYS cutting out. Sometimes it cuts out and you donât even know it! We have a sound machine going and that has been the only reason Iâve noticed the monitor was frozen, because I couldnât hear the sound machine anymore. Many times it showed my son was still, only for me to hear him crying while still sleeping on my screen. Not worth it at all. My parents have a $30 Hellobaby monitor that is 10x better than this. Just buy a regular video monitor.

Must Have!
Being first time parents is hard enough without the constant worry if your baby is breathing and sleeping. The owlet gives my husband and I peace of mind. The owlet comes with 2 pairs of socks for both left and right feet. It also has the mounting clips that easy to attach to the wall of your babyâs room. The camera has a temp and humidity feature that is super helpful. It even alerts you if the room goes above or below a certain temp or humidity limit. Lastly the sock helps tell you when your baby fell asleep and when they woke up. Which we found important to make sure sheâs getting the most adequate amount of sleep. Her pulse ox (heart rate and oxygen) are constantly reading and will alert you if it drops. Definitely worth the money

Anxiety reliever
I have no problem admitting when I am wrong. My wife suggested this to me while she was pregnant and I said no way am I spending $300 on something like that and being over paranoid. When our son was born he wouldnât take a deep breath so they monitored his oxygen until he would breathe well on his own. Right then and there I swallowed my pride and told her she was right. I placed the order before we even left the hospital. We still roll over to check on him if he makes a noise as any new parents would. But this has relieved so much anxiety by being able to check his stats on an app and knowing weâll get an alarm if something did happen. Thank God that has not been an issue thus far and hopefully never is. Better safe than sorry! If you are on the fence about it just do it. If youâre a âtoughâ dad just swallow your pride. Itâll give you a peace of mind.I know they didnât have these things âback in the dayâ but buddy they do now. So use them to your benefit. Youâll sleep much better too

Peace of Mind… sometimes and at a Cost
First for the Dream Sock: I bought this for the peace of mind it offers knowing that my son’s heart rate and oxygen levels are being monitored while I sleep, but with the amount of times it goes off for “placement issues” when he is sound asleep and it’s on him correctly is ridiculous. I think a big part of it is that there are only two sizes for the straps that hold the monitor on. As he’s getting older, we keep weighing if we want to keep using this on light of the number if midnight wakeups due to false alarms. In addition, we have to turn off the base when going from our bedroom to our living room for late night feedings. Otherwise it goes off for poor signal. Our house is well within the 1,000 foot range advertised. Now three months in, the base keeps disconnecting from our WiFi, so we can’t even see the heart rate and oxygen level readings most of the time. It still monitors him via Bluetooth and will alert if anything is wrong, which is why I have three stars instead of one.Now for the Monitor: it is close to useless. Most of the time, it lags horribly and disconnects from the WiFi constantly. I know our signal is good because I used to work from home in the room that is now our nursery with no issues at all. I’m going to have to spend more money on a regular monitor since I cannot depend on this one at all. I may sound crazy, but I also suspect it makes a noise or something when you select the live monitoring option. We set it up so my husband could check in when working overnight to make sure I want sleeping through the baby’s cries (phobia of mine). The baby would wake up Every. Single. Time he checked the camera.Bottom line: when they work they’re great, but they very rarely work at the same time or consistently

I’m at home with NB now and used Owlet Dream Duo for 2 weeks, this is what I’ve found.TLDR: My only real issue with product is value. This item is “not a bad” product with a hefty price. If I could do it again I would either buy a similar item at a lower price point, or a better camera for the same or more money.-Picture quality is fairly ok, exception is that there is an odd flicker so you are unable to see breathing at night because of the interference. If the camera were placed within 30 inches of baby, the flickering may diminish to allow breathing to be visible? Mine is currently placed 48 inches away because I wanted no risk of accidentally knocking it off the wall. Unlikely as the Owlet cam’s magnetic base is strong- but I’d have still preferred it be bolted/ screwed.-Moving the sock off of the charging station onto baby’s foot inevitably sets off alarms, so we find ourselves turning the volume off on our phones, then unplugging the base, then donning the sock, then turning everything on again. This may be our lack of knowledge as we haven’t had time to learn with NB now here. Hint- you don’t get a lot of time to learn tech with a NB in the house! I give credit here too, our NB was quite small but we haven’t had a single false alarm at night, big plus!-The only functions I have found good use for are that I can look at the app to see baby’s heart is beating (alive yay!) and having the room’s audio available anywhere, as the audio is very good. Background audio is a nice feature so you can hear without app open. Also NB’s signs in video are visible night and day if she is hungry, or if has rolled over onto stomach.- I’ve not found that this product actually does anything else useful for me. Sleep quality readings are junk, it last night registered baby as sleeping peacefully during a feed and diaper change.- While I am not familiar with any alternatives you should ask yourself what you want this to do for you. If audio / video maybe coupled with a life sign indicator such as breathing/ heart monitor is all you need (that’s all the Owlet seems to do anyway) and if $500 cad sounds like a lot of money to you, then I suggest researching other items at a lower price point, and hopefully save a few dollars for some other important things that you’ll inevitably be needing. ( Ie large size bottle sterilizer dryer combo!)

As a first time mom this product helped bring me major peace of mind with my baby. Camera quality is really good and all the vitals taken make me feel a lot better. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because when my baby was a newborn he had skinny feet and the sensor wouldn’t fold enough to make good connection with his skin and was constantly going off. We did stop using it until he was 2.5 months old when his foot was wide enough for it.
