Terrible Connection Issues
Beyond irritated Iâm past the return window or this would be going back! Now Iâm stuck with a $300 paper weight.The camera is a nightmare to get to connect. Then once it connects it continues to lose its connection and can never actually work or be seen on the app.Absolutely terrible.I wasted hours of my day trying to set it up.Bought a cheaper one that works perfect!Donât waste your money.The sock has kept connection fine, I should say.The camera is junk!

Being a first time mom it is nerve racking and you hear so much about Sids that I didnât sleep the first 3 nights of her life because I was always checking if she was breathing. So decided to by the owlet and it was the best decision I ever made. I slept the first night I bought it. I practice safe sleeping with my baby and this is a cherry on top.

Ease of Mind
My month old was having trouble with retracted breathing but nothing seemed to be wrong according to doctors. We purchased this to ease our own minds and it has 100% been worth it for the peace knowing my child’s oxygen levels and heart rate were steady. I love that it also helps with sleep cycles and informa you of when it’s best to try and let them down for a nap based our their sleep schedule. The sock itself fits well but not perfect which I expected since it can not fit to every child exactly. Overall this was a pricey investment that I do not regret!

Wouldnât buy and wouldnât recommend buying
I used the sock for about a month and from the beginning had issues. Over the month of using the sock, more and more issues popped up. Initially, it started with connection issues, we would have connection issues about twice throughout the night but it was something we could work through as generally it was when we were up with baby and in another room (just a heads up- if you are looking to buy this product, it does not keep connection in any room other then where the base is setup). However, as time went on these connection issues got worse and worse, it started having connection issues when close to the base and would happen at least 3-5 times a night. Then, after 3 weeks the battery no longer lasts through the night. It dies in the middle of the night after being charged all day and the app stating that it had the full battery life -claiming to last 16-18 hours- it would only last 4-5 hours. The straw that broke the camels back was when baby had a vomiting incident and stopped breathing. My partner asked me to check her owlet after getting her cleaned up and the app asked me if it could âsend me critical alertsâ. Iâm very thankful him and I were up at the time the incident occurred as clearly the owlet would not have let us know something was happening. Needless to say, Iâve put in a return and went with something else. As a first time parent, if you are looking for more stress then buy this; otherwise I would highly advise looking into a different product.

Great at some things⦠terrible at others
So, as far as Iâm aware this is the best baby monitor on the market. The sock works really well and they recently added more health tracking for it, which is nice. Iâm a huge fan of the sock.That said, the app is glitchy and sometimes doesnât refresh live data. The camera works well visually, but the cameras microphone is useless and inaudible when you try and communicate through it. I have fantastic WiFi and top of the line routers, so itâs not on my end. Also if you are not computer savvy, the initial setup could be a nightmare. The app would not work to connect it and I had to use a laptop and program the router from its IP address. Not something a lot of people would enjoy doing.Itâs still the best at what it does. Itâs kind of sad that itâs so poorly executed, you can buy $25 dollar security cameras that have working microphones, this is not a cheap set and it would be nice for the camera to work as well as the sock does.

Love the camera
Took me a while to get the settings right, but I love it now. Once in a while the WiFi will get weird but for the most part I love how I can watch baby anywhere from my phone. I also like the sock but my baby is in a limbo size where the small sock is a little too small and the larger one is slightly too large. Used it once though and love the extra data!
