OtterBox iPhone 16 Professional Max Defender Collection Case – Black

Used this for years and have NEVER cracked phone
With all of the really cute cases out there, this is not great in the aesthetic department. I know it’s kind of meh, BUT it has literally never failed me. I am a chronic phone dropper. I carry my phone in all the situations when you shouldn’t and I have dropped on cement, down a flight of stairs, etc. I could go on. I’ve had this specific cover on every phone (I upgrade phones every few years) and I ALWAYS get full trade in and the phone is in perfect condition. For this reason I sacrifice having a cute/fun cover for function. It’s not terribly ugly and it DOES THE JOB. You have to get the Max Defender.

Good case—but could be better.
I enjoy this case and have used it on all my other iPhones. I’ve found they’ve gotten easier to remove and install over the years which is great. They’ve increased protection around the camera this year compared to my last which is good. However, I do not like how there is not as much protection for the screen now (not raised on the sides). Also—as others have mentioned, the camera button cutout is poorly designed. Hurts my hand when I hold the phone, makes it feel unprotected, and could have easily been better. Good value for the money, and the design has stayed mostly consistent over the years, which is great.In my experience the case is functional and I use the anti slip capability a lot. However, in terms of its wireless charging performance, I have not had a great experience. I was unable to get a very fast charge from a MagSafe charger and the case got hot. I need to try more and see if it was the charger it the case. However, I’m very happy with the magnetic grip, it’s very strong and better than I expected.Disappointed they removed the plastic belt clip but can still get it for free luckily with a provided in the box code.Overall, great case as always.

I’ve been using Otter Defender phone protection for almost as long as they’ve been around, and am now on the fourth phone that I’ve protected in this way, making that approximately ten years of great service.Every time I change phones, I upgrade to that new phone’s version of this product, and I’m delighted to say that as a result, after 2-3 years of heavy, back-country and forest/mountain hiking use, every one of my phones has come out of its term of service in the same pristine condition in which I received it.Drops on hard surfaces, falls into wet places, bumps in back-packs, all kinds of weather and intemperate zones notwithstanding, I’ve never had any problem upgrading my phones on their replacement contract because of OtterBox products protecting the devices. I am required by my provider’s contract to turn in my old phone at the 2 year mark and upgrade OR to pay a significant fee if the phone is damaged in any way, so the bi-annual purchase of a new OtterBox is REALLY a cost saver.Go OtterBox – love the products!

The camera control cutout is a disaster!Someone at Otterbox should be terminated.There’s a lot of unprotected screen exposed because of the cutout.I’m pissed and might return it!!!!!!Terrible design!!!
