Not a Hiker— Surprisingly perfect for moms!
I have so many backpacks, that every one is sick of me every time I get a new one.I’m constantly on the hunt for the perfect one, since they have different purposes for me.I have plenty of fashion back packs, travel backpacks, camera backpacks and diaper bags… but nothing for adventure. The reason why I wanted something for the trail, is not necessarily for hiking, even though I may go like 3 times a year, but I needed something that had the front loader strap on the strap. I ordered the Trail Magik Carrier for my one year old, so I wont have to travel with a bulky carrier, since the the trail magik carrier folds small. It’s absolutely great for my needs as a diaper bag. It’s small enough where it doesn’t look like a huge hiking bag, yet spacious enough inside. The bottle holders on the side have enough stretch, and the waist bands are the perfect storage for my keys, wallet ,hand sanitizer and my airpods without having to take my whole backpack out to reach out for them. When I went to REI to see this bag in person before ordering, it included the hydro pack. When I ordered it on amazon (because it was $40 cheaper) it didn’t not included the hydro pack. For reference, I’m 5’3 and weight 155lbs, I ordered the M/L size and the waist pack sits on my waist where a belt might sit comfortably. When I tried the XS/S in the store it was also a comfortable fit, however the waist pack landed on my waist, above my belly button. I preferred it landing closer to my “belt “area. As for the weight, with the chest strap (which included a whistle) and the wait belt, the weight is evenly distributed so it doesn’t feel heavy while carrying a bunch of stuff like water bottles, diapers, wipes, extra clothes etc. As a city commuter, this bag is perfect for moms on the go.

Awesome pack designed for the female build!
Upgraded from a multi use pack to the woman specific Osprey Tempest 9. Our group goes on day hikes and the size is perfect. It is so nice to put on a pack that is tailored to smaller shoulders and larger hips. After measuring for fit (Osprey site) I found my back length measurement straddled the XS/S and the M/L bags. The published measurements states it is a two inch difference in length between the two sizes. I went XS/S because I wanted to be sure that the top of the pack didnât hit my head when Iâm looking up at trees.Super comfortable. Lots of straps and possible adjustments. Whistle in the sternum strap buckle! The Tempest follows the shape of your back keeping the load close to your back and that keeps your center of gravity closer to what is it without a pack. The pack doesnât shift during activity and the side pockets donât lose water bottles (compression straps around the pocket add a secure hold for bottles. Getting the bottle out while wearing the pack is a good stretch for the shoulder. Easiest way is to push up from the bottom of pocket until the bottle is nearly out.I use the hydration pocket for other stuff since I prefer to use a water bottle. Side pockets on the waist strap are nice for quick snack access and for my iPhone. I have a newer SE so itâs a smaller sized iPhone. A larger phone would not fit in these pockets. I carry a Sony RX10 III in the main body along with everything else that I hike with. Great sized pack, I love mine!

Excellent backpack for shorter women
This is really a beautiful product, well constructed, lovely purple color, real quality, light in weight but durable. The caution is.. if youâre tall, this is not going to work. It is meant for a smaller build person. Iâm a 5â11 female.. and I looked like Shrek trying to fit in a My Little Pony size. It was sad and laughable. Crisis averted as I simply went to the Menâs version, which is the Talon. Identical quality, different colors though, but the blue is just as beautiful as the purple. Iâm a fan of neutral colors, but understand the need to where a color that is bright for safety of hunters, or for your companions to see to follow, or in the event Search and Rescue ever needs to find you. Highly recommend Osprey.

Perfect day pack
I like the support and barely feel the pack while hiking. The water reservoir is easy to access fill and cleanâbut doesnât come with this pack. Be sure to measure your size for the right fit. I have a friend who just bought this one because of mine

Good size for day hikes
Iâve been looking for a small pack for short day hikes for a while and this one is great. I would take something larger if I were going in rough terrain because Iâd want to bring extra safety items but for my daily walks this fits the bill. I can put in a light jacket, some snacks, binoculars and bug repellent. I use a water bottle rather than a hydration bladder. When I tried it with a 2-liter Camelback the pack was too cramped. This is the sixth Osprey pack Iâve owned. Iâm a big fan of the brandâs quality, features and comfort.

Simple but effective
It is comfortable to wear and the pockets on the hip straps are more spacious than expected. Appearance is as per the picture.

Awesome!
Itâs just the right size for biking, and has lots of pockets to stash items. I like the size capacity which has room for a water bladder. Itâs light, and itâs comfortable due to padded straps. I highly recommend.

Bought for a person who has limited upper body strength. This bag contains the water for the day hike and has a bit of space for some food or spare clothes. I carry the extra stuff. Bungi cord and stowe-on-the-go features are super.

Assez spacieux, poches de rangement mais un peu lourd pour un petit format.
