    Perfect for younger kids!
These Osprey Moki hydration packs are fabulous. Quality topnotch and feels equal to my Daylite pack. Both my 4 year old and 8 year old put these on independently and wear them without complaint hiking or biking for several hours when the water bladder is about half full. It’s a tad long on the 4 year old, so I probably wouldn’t recommend this for younger children unless they are exceptionally tall, but it doesn’t seem to bother mine. Enough room to stash a snack, hat, face mask, and various stones found along the way too. Magnet fastener is genius. I did get separate covers for the bite valves because my kids always throw the packs on the ground with the valve facing the ground when getting stuff out of the zipper compartment. Looks like they’ll fit for years to come. Very happy with my purchase. My only complaint is that I wish these came in more colors than blue and red.

    Perfect for young kids
I bought two of these, one for my 5 year old daughter and one for 7 year old son. We’ve been using them on numerous hikes and bike rides. They’re the perfect size for young kids, it’s not heavy even filled up all the way. Both of them don’t complain about them at all and loved to have their own water. We would also let them to stash couple snacks in there. It would fit bars, apple sauce, a small bag of chips and some candies. I usually fill 1/2 way for my daughter since she doesn’t drink it all on short hikes, but a full bag can last a 3-4 hour hike in 100 degree weather for my son.

    Kid loves
Bought this for my 10year son for cub scouts. He love it A LOT. He actually just takes the bladder out of it and places it in his school bag & drinks water on his way to/from school. We live in the high desert, and though I give them water bottles for school with filters so he can refill at school, he says he rarely drinks water. Now with the bladder in his backpack, he drinks the entire bladder in a school day.Bag wise, it is nicely constructed. I have several other Ospry bags, and this is as well constructed as those & I imagine will hold up well for the upcoming rigors of this cub year.

The best kids’ hydration pack if you don’t need to pack too much stuff
Received one for my older boy from a relative who had a proform discount with Osprey. The bladders are super easy to fill and clean compared to the threaded ones or the ziplock style (Osprey uses a ziplock looking opening that is actually folded and held closed by a plastic part that slides over it), the bite valves don’t leak at all (unless the little weasels chew on them too much, and then they’re replaceable). The angled bite valve also is way more comfortable than a straight one, and it disassembles easily if it gets funky. We’ve had a few different brands and love the Osprey. Recently needed a bladder for our younger guy… buying a new one of these was basically the same cost as buying a replacement Osprey bladder and retrofitting it into a cheapie backpack, which was plan A. The downsides are that it really can’t hold much more than a thin pair of knit gloves and a granola bar, and the magnet thing that’s supposed to hold the hose to your breast strap isn’t strong enough when new, and the adhesive holding it on failed anyway.

    Great for hiking!
I love these bags very nice and lightweight for hikes! Looks a little small for 11year old but but perfect for my 5 year old. Just wish it had a thermal bag of some sort where the water goes to keep cold but overall we love it and it’s perfect for our day hikes!

    Perfect
This is absolutely the highest quality hydration pack you’ll find for kids. It’s compact, well designed with high quality materials (love the magnet to keep the tube from dangling) and will work well for ages 5-12. Room for an energy bar and some sunscreen or sunglasses in the outer pocket. Comfy shoulder straps. Your hiker needs this!

Absolutely buy this for your little hiker
We were debating if we should get our little guy a pack of his own because he constantly drinks water while we’re hiking. This little pack does the job for my little one! My dude is 20 months and quite big and this fit him perfectly. The water bladder does a great job and even holds up pretty well to biters.
