Really nice cover
I have 2 K & H heated houses that I purchased for two stray cats that adopted me several years ago. They are both passed on now but the houses are still in great shape…except the covers to the pads. After years of use, they got yucky. But everything else was still going strong. The house was still nice and the heating pad underneath still warmed up. So the fact that I could just order a new cover for the heating pad was great! It kept me from having to purchase a whole heating pad or cat house all over again! Which is great because I have two cats in the neighborhood that like to stop by and it’s getting cold outside and want to provide them with warmth if they need it.

The outdoor kitty approves. He’s the harshest critic of all!I bought several extra covers since they dirty quickly. Heats to 102° reliably and gently.There is no switch. Only the plug. Create a way of knowing that the unit is powered on such as a small light on the same circuit or other reminder.

Love the pad, so does our outside kitty. Itâs very well constructed, same as a self inflating sleep mat for backpacking. Provides a nice soft big bed. Warm but not too warm. Perfect! Cover is nice as it wonât hold moisture and is easy to wash. Great purchase!

K&H make the best products for animals that work and are practical. I had to replace the cover for the warmer I had purchased for my cat. Their products helped my 2 elderly cats keep warm and comfortable.

not what i expected.
not much heat, even when cat lays on it. put hand under cat after she sleeps for an hour, her undercarriage is a bit warmer than when she sleeps in her bed indoors. pad is slightly warm when not in use. this was in the warm December in Ohio. we have an arctic blast coming…I will update as to performance in cold weather.I have pad sitting on a rectangle of insulboard. (the blue stuff) inside of a clear storage container with a small cat door cut into it. it is inside a cage ( wire with wood floor and roof) that has been covered with 20 gauge clear vinyl for the winter. the cage is 4×8 x4′ high and is accessible thru a cat flap in the bathroom window. it has a wood/shingle roof with overhangs, so it is quite dry.in the warm weather, it is an open aire wire enclosure. she watches the birds and sleeps on a wooden shelf on soft summer nights.Hally is a Princess. when the weather permits, we open a door that allows access into a large Catio. We enclosed the patio with wire 4 cats ago when one was mauled by a raccoon in the yard. The cats have permitted us to put chairs and a BBQ grill out there. They have a wheat patch and small shade tree. I grow flowers out there. there is a wooden jungle gym for the cats. She weighs 7.5 lbs. – is this enough weight to tell the pad to heat up? it is the small (14×18″ ) pad. I would appreciate comments on how I am using this product and if anyone has any suggestions to make it heat better.Thanks and meow!.

My elderly cat loves this pad – although I have had to substitute a different pad for the top (she loves the gentle nap of a micro suede fabric). This is very low wattage and it provides a gentle but consistent heat that is not hot but rather warming. It is enough warmth that nights in the 60s (I don’t turn on the heat) and 50s my cat is warm and very comfortable. What I also like is that the warming unit on the interior is enclosed is a very heavy weight plastic that can be washed with a damn cloth and soap to remove any odors after a few weeks – which helps to keep the mat clean and fresh smelling. The small compact size is very nice as well – it’s at the foot of my bed so my cat can sleep next to my feet with the warmth she needs and it does not affect my feet at all.

The size was perfect. The smell was good. The ease of use was good support not so great. The value for my money was reasonable, However, I cannot test the durability of this product. The rating that was given for this product was because of the fact that it was not what I wanted, but it was an oversight on my end. I wanted the actual pad, not just the cover. Encouraged to read details carefully.
