Overall I quite like this barrier! I chose this versus other ones because I liked how stiff it is versus the fabric ones. My dog LOVES to be near me and the fabric barriers do not keep him in the back. This one is much better! He does like to push against it, which is totally fine because of how itâs built (itâs pretty stiff and wide enough that heâll never be able to push through it to the front). Of course he can still jump over it and likes to put his front feet on the console, but this actually discouraging him pretty successfully from doing that too often because itâs harder to get to the front with it up. My only complaint is that the bungee cords for attaching it are way too long; I had to tie knots in all four to lessen their lengths and I still had to wrap the top ones around the headrest a few times before they were tight enough.

It looks like all these reviews are for door protectors, which isnât even the product being advertised here as a front seat barrier. Product is absolutely useless. First of all, difficult to install – the little cords that are supposed to attach to the seats are way too long and canât be adjusted without tying knots – secondly, my dog chewed through one of these thin fabric cords instantly. There goes the barrier. The whole design is flimsy. Itâs basically the equivalent of tying off a towel to âblockâ the space between the front seats. So bummed I just threw out $25.

Given that this isn’t’ vehicle specific, the use of bungee cords to install makes some sense and leaves the owner to figure out the best way to secure within their vehicle. I would MUCH rather see adjustable webbing straps rather than bungee cords to help secure. This would offer greater installation options and allow for a secure fit that is less likely to be “sprung” by the pet. Nice feel but the bungee action allows for my small dog to often push past the barrier … and she’s only 3.5#
