Very comforting for pup
My dog absolutely hates riding in the car and we recently took along road trip of a 1000 miles and back and she would peek out of the window and then settle down in this and it seemed to provide comfort. There are times when I do lower it, so she can be in contact with me. I added a couple of carabiners to extend the length of the Seatbelt strap, which I did replace with a different one. So she can rest her head on the console and get some comfort from me. Overall, I would recommend this brand. I did have a different one that I didn’t even bother using, because the quality wasn’t what I had hoped. The straps that go spoonful the headrests are not the highest quality but they are functional. I have a 2020 Toyota RAV4 hybrid and this fits perfectly on the backseat, no overhang. I definitely feel it is safe for her, and as I mentioned, very calming.

Sides do not open! Otherwise very sturdy
This is a very sturdy dog car seat and I was really excited to get it for our 25 lb puppy to grow into (we added a bed as a booster for now). I assembled it and installed it in our car only to realize that once it’s clipped into place and is basket shaped, you must lift the dog over the high sides! I thought this listing mentioned a zipper or opening to let the dog into the car seat but the sides are rigid and you have to fully collapse it to get it low enough to have a dog jump in. Unfortunately this means that unless you want to lift your dog over the edge of this (about chest height for me) it is not worth it. That said everything else about it is good. It fits the height of my seats well and was easy to install and has held up to our puppy. I put it in weeks ago and have not had to adjust it or fix it other than tying one of the straps up as it slipped a little. Would have been ideal if one or both sides zipped open.

I have a 60lb golden retriever and this is my favorite thing Iâve ever bought for her! She used to be so scared in the car, staying down the whole time and barely looking out the window. Now she stands up and looks out the window all the time! This definitely makes her feel more secure. It also keeps her fur from getting everywhere, which is definitely a perk. Easy to use and install
Iâve had this for awhile and Iâd say itâs good quality. Itâs easy to put in the back seat, but it has to connect to the front seat, so it depends on how far/close someone sits to the stearing wheel. Iâm inside of the wheel most times and my car is tiny, so itâs almost like a glove in my car.I just wish my pup would sit in it or want to when weâre going somewhere but sheâs squirrelly in the car, and Iâve nearly given up forcing her into it. Weâve had it since sheâs was smaller and she seemed pea sized in it. After a few months, she grew and is still a bit small for it. The leash buckle attachment thing has really been helpful when sheâs in the car, but it doesnât seem universal. So it clicks into specific belt locking parts in the car; it doesnât like my middle seat lock but it likes window passenger locks.I am not sure if itâs all that comfy, the bottom is flat and doesnât have a cushion. I put a blanket and chew toys down for my pup.TLDR: I like this thing but my dog doesnât, put it on seat behind driver or front passenger seat. Bring a pup cushion. If your dog likes to move around the back seats(circle, go window to window), this is more like a car seat.

Durability Issue
I like the concept and the basket itself is very good. The straps that secure it to the vehicle headrests are cheap and easily chewed in to. The corners where the metal rods go into the sleeve need to be reinforced as the rod works its way out. The two corners with the Velcro strap hold up well. We have had to sew the corner of the rod parallel to the back of the front seat several times as it keeps coming out of the sleeve. This dog seat has only been used perhaps 10 times since we bought it in May.

I love it!I used to have the hammock that stretched across the whole back seat and my dog would walk from one side to the other and then fall over when I turned.Now he sits in there, nice and safe, and he seems calmer than he usually is in the car. Great size for my ‘large’ beagle mix.Comes with a seatbelt and construction really is very easy. Only downside is getting my dog into the seat because it doesn’t open on one side to let the dog in so I unbuckle the front so he can jump in before pulling it up and buckling it back to the front seat. But that means I still risk him scratching my seats with his nails when he doesn’t jump straight into the seat. And he’s too heavy to lift that high.
