My dog loves this Gumby toy! Itâs the perfect size and soft enough for him to carry around, yet sturdy enough to hold up to her chewing. The only downside is that it does not withstand my sisters dog. Thankfully itâs cheap enough to replace.

What’s not to love about Gumby?
I ordered Gumby mostly because well, he is Gumby! But the price was right too! Gumby has a true bright green color (as he rightly should have)with soft extremities and body with a squeaker inside the body. The face is embroidered so there are no pieces to come loose which might cause choking. The fabric is almost velvety soft but not fuzzy or stringy. After 3 days of vigorous back and forth playing between my Doberman and my sister’s retriever-border collie mix, Gumby remained intact with no threads pulled, holes, tears, with only a coating of doggie slobber! All in all this toy has been a great success proven by the fact that my niece dog absconded with Gumby as we were leaving my sister’s house after a 3 day visit. So in actuality this is the second Gumby who has taken up residence in our home. and he is a winner in true Gumby style!Top 3 Likes:-He’s Gumby!-Soft fabric, well constructed, and adequate stuffing-Embroidered features and working squeakerTop 3 Dislikes:-Cleaning is an issue as puppy slobber accumulates rapidly-Just a tad small for a 70+ dog, but he loves it just the same-Sadly, Pokey was not offered!

My dog is obsessed
I bought this for my Great Pyrenees mix. He gets a lot of enjoyment out of this story and it has withheld a lot of tug-of-war and chewing on it. I would say that the entertainment value is very high and he seeks this toy out, no matter where it is in his toy box this week is not very loud compared to other toys that I have gotten for him, which makes this nice to play with. I will say If your dog likes to pull on the small parts of toys, the arms may not last very long as far as durability, but the rest of the toy can still be played with as long as the arm is removed.

Toy was cute and the dogs loved it however it didn’t last very long. I do have dogs that love squeaker toys so maybe that’s why. I had hoped they would last a bit but one was destroyed within a couple days, the other lasted a couple weeks.

My Boston Terrier puppy’s favorite toy!
It is sturdy with no small parts which could be swallowed by my dog. She loves the fact that Gumby’s limbs are just the right size for her to chew on and she can carry easily carry this toy around the house. When she finally destroys it, I will purchase another!!! Worth it – I have seen other high-priced dog toys which do not begin to compare with this one’s quality.

One of the cutest dog toys ever. It’s safe for dogs. I love watching my dogs play with gumby. It’s so cute and funny. For the price I paid for each one it’s great. If they do chew the gumby’s up I will buy more.

It won’t last if your dog chews.
My dog loves these things BUT: The first one lasted 2 days. The stitching along the leg looked a little loose before I gave it to our dog. So I watched her very closely. She went up to see my roommate with it and thank goodness he was watching closely as well because it was then that she ripped the entire thing open and the squeaking ball came out. The problem with the ball is that it is so small- it would be easy for a dog to choke on. I do have to give the seller some credit because they sent another one when I explained that the stiches were loose. I did not have to mail the first one back.The second picture is the second one that they sent. It lasted less than 10 minutes. I DO NOT recommend getting it replaced after you have a “failure”(especially if you don’t know how to sew)!!! Why? Because when the second one was in my dog’s grasp she had already figured out that the seems were… her target for destruction… She held the legs with her front paws, grabbed the head with her mouth and just started pulling like crazy until- yes. A seem opened again. What started as a small opening in the seem quickly turned into a bigger one. This probably sounds crazy, but we have very smart dog… She was seriously concentrating on the same seem- biting the same area and pulling with her head over and over until the hole became big enough to get stuffing through it.It may be a mistake- we will find out… But I am thinking about sewing the second one back together and reinforce every seem with a “second” seem using some very strong thread. I figure I would rather waste 20 cents or so on the thread to try to fix it, then buy another dog toy from this “brand”. When I do this I will also pull ALL of the stuffing out so if it does rip open again, she won’t be able to eat any of it. The stuffing looks synthetic and it is low quality- I don’t trust it as far as toxicity…All this being said= if there were two layers of fabric with the inside layer being a stronger material, it would make the seems harder to pull apart. The way it is now you have this weak (albeit soft) fabric so when they sew it together the tiny holes left by the needle make the fabric in the seem area easier to tear. This, along with the thread itself being weak and easy to “snap”, means that you should only expect it to last more than a day if your dog does not chew anything at all that is not food. 5 starts for the seller though…

Great for non-destructive dogs
This was extremely cute and nostalgic and seemed well put together. Unfortunately, my dog pretty much exploded it on contact. It was complete carnage and I felt sorry for poor Gumby. lol If you have a dog that likes to carry around and squeak their stuffies, and not rip them apart, or you enjoy watching your dog decorate the living room with the fluffy innards of adorable plushies, I would totally recommend it.

Cool Gumby stuffy. I did not purchase for a dog, but for as decoration in my home office as I am a Gumby fan. It looks well made and definitely looks like Gumby.
