Perfect Daypack
We have started hiking more and I wanted a backpack that wasn’t too big but that was able to carry the essentials for a day hike as well as the what if items. This pack has been perfect. It’s lightweight and easy to organize gear with all the different pockets which also makes it easy to find things without having to dig through the entire pack. The straps are very comfortable and the backpack just sits well while hiking.

Convenient and comfortable day pack
I got this backpack for carrying food and water during shorter hikes. This pack is fairly well-thought out and is comfortable for its weight. You can carry a 1L water bottle in the side mesh pocket. There are loops and straps for your trekking poles. I only wish the chest strap was able to slide up and down to better adjust the load on your shoulders. The waist straps really make this a great daypack for hiking.

Great pack but maybe not for more than a few days trip

Lightweight. Not sure it’s ready to hit the trail for extended use.
First impressions can only be made once, right? Here’s my unbiased review of the mokzer 40L backpack.In fairness, I’ve owned several Osprey backpacks, which are significantly more expensive than this product. I realize it’s not fair to hold this to the standards set by products that cost many times what this one does.The fabric and stitching seems very decent. The fact that they included some trail backpack features like straps and pads to go around your hips seems nice. And they even included some elastic pieces with some adjustable stoppers to allow you to perhaps clamp your trekking poles across the back of your pack.Unfortunately, I think for the price range, they might be trying to do too much and perhaps failed to get some of these “backpacking” features just right. I gave a tug to one of the clips on the ends of the elastic that could be used for strapping trekking poles to the bag, and it pulled right off. In disbelief at how easy it was, I tried the other one. Same. The strap/pad that goes around your waist is flimsy and I expect doesn’t provide much weight transfer to your hips like a framed backpack would. It does include a rain cover in a lower pouch, which is great.I think this might be okay for bringing your kid on occasional weekend backpacking trips, but I’m not sure it holds up to the stress that equipment on the trail often sees over a longer duration based on my initial assessment. The zippers seem to be just adequate, not a name brand. The padding on the shoulder straps seem somewhat less than what I think would be sufficient if you loaded this down with 40L worth of backpacking gear. There are Lift loader straps but honestly, I think they are primarily for show, since they only move the fabric a small amount.This would probably make a nice backpack for a student who needs to grab some stuff to take home for the weekend and throw their books in during the week. They may not use all the features of this pack, but that’s okay.The price is what keeps this at a 4 star. For basically $24 ($30 minus coupon of 20%) this backpack offers a lot. The quality is not great compared to $200 packs, but that’s to be expected. Just don’t plan to take this for 3 months of doing Georgia to Maine on the AT.

Nice-ish pack with corners cut
Iâve certainly seen packs that are worse than this one, so itâs not exactly terrible. However, it is not exactly super-high quality, either. The zippers are questionable, the padding of the shoulder straps, and the shoulder straps themselves, are a bit thin. There is no framing to the back at all. The biggest head scratcher is the fake-out front pocket where glasses and other small items would usually be stored on most packs. Here, itâs a fake-out pocket – meaning there is a zipper there, but no pocket. It just opens into the main portion of the pack⦠which already has another dedicated zipper for it. So I frankly donât know what theyâre doing here with this pack, maybe they just had some leftover ripstop nylon material in stock that they were trying to figure out how to use to make their money back.Speaking of ripstop nylon – that is the greatest positive about this pack: Really nice ripstop nylon material in its build.
